VF21, please read my reply:

Your thread really touched me, and it was very emotional for me to read this.
I am only 16 years old, but similarly to you, I have many memories of myself sitting on my couch at home with my father in Arizona watching the kings. Moreover, we drove to phoenix to watch our team play the suns every time we could. (These years are about from when I was 6-10). Right now I am in my room, in Israel typing this post. I am here for more than six consecutive years now. I try watching my Kings once a week, which sucks but the time differences (the games start at approximately 4 am) are really making it difficult. I feel so sad thinking the Kings are gonna move, and I feel even worse that I couldn't take part in the Here We Stay game. It's killing me. You have over 67,000 posts here! Its crazy, and it's depressing that a fan like yourself hasn't witnessed our players celebrating a championship. I feel your deep pain which is clearly deeper than mine. I wish you and your family health and peace. Lets hope for a miracle.

Thank you so much for your reply. I'm onboard with hoping for that miracle.

I'm in the same boat as Rookie...wait I'm Rookie ;).

Anyway great post VF21...of all the fans, I think you have the most purple in your heart. Making me almost shed a little tear just thinking about the Kings leaving and how you feel.

I talked to one of my high school buddies today, we were reminiscing on days when we used to just chill and watch kings, and they were actually good. Those were the good old care free times. I remember wearing my Mike Bibby jersey on the first day of junior year when they came out with new jerseys in 2003. It will be really sad if the kings leave. I dont know if I can ever root for another team like I did with those kings.

Im still seeing Montreal Expos gear around so maybe Sacramento Kings shirts and hats will become the in thing to wear around town after the team leaves. I still have my powder blue starter jacket. Ugliest jacket but it gets a lot of looks.

Kings mean a bit less to me than it does to VF.. I just remember them being the only team ive ever rooted for in the NBA because they were my hometown team. If they leave, im still going to root for them. Besides the Kings, i have a love for the game of basketball as well. Kings are just the only team ive ever had a vested interest in, so i think i'll stick with them.

Thank you VF21 for a beautifully written peace.

I loved your post above, too, Bajaden.

I was at a game about a week ago, when it downed on me that Imight have to bear seeing Vlade and Chris' jerseys hanging in the rafters at the Honda Center. It made me feel ill. Somebody compared this to a divorce. It is like that and you're the one being left by the person you still love with all your heart. It is really painful.

I hadn't thought about home games. My nightmare involves road games, and NBA fans who consider the 30 mile distance between Staples and Honda to be an academic distinction.
