I can think of five WC teams that are undoubtedly better than The Kings right now

Please . . . I have zero doubt that should the Clips surpass the Lakers in LA, every Fakers fan will toss their Kobe jerseys just like they did their Shaq jerseys to grab a CP3/Howard jersey, and suddenly we'll be back in the same spot. The Clippers are cute and loveable right now, and I'm close enough to almost make them my no. 2 team, but never forget that they are and will always be the Lakers Fans Emergency Backup Team, which makes them Evil.
I hadn't thought of it like that. I could see Faker nation jumping on the Clipper bandwagon if they ever surpass the Lakers.

Yeah, but the Clippers always find a way to screw things up. They might compete for a year, but then they start that downward spiral all over again.

I never thought I'd say this, but I wouldn't be surprised to see the Wolves have a decent year either. Rubio, Wes Johnson, Beasley, Love, and Derrick Williams is a nice young core, and now they have Adelman who's been known to get the most out of his team

I don't know about that, Oden is Oden, Lamarcus is dealing with heart issues, and their best player retired. Add in the fact that Miller and Camby aren't getting younger and you're essentially left with a team led by Gerald Wallace and Wes Matthews. For some reason I can see this being the year that the wheels completely fall off the Blazers wagon.
Aldridge won't miss much time, and when he plays he's gonna be a beast this year. And Miller did get younger, except now they call him Raymond Felton. Blazers will be in the playoffs barring any more major injuries

Yep, I'd expect the Wolves to surprise a few people this year. They should be fun to watch, lots of talent and athleticism and an exciting passer in Rubio. They have a good mix and obviously a good coach. Plus, Kevin Love is in the best shape he's ever been in. He looks very ripped and athletic.

I think this is a different squad tho. Blake and company have changed the clipper culture IMO. I see them making the playoffs this year assuming they stay somewhat healthy.

Can we even be sure that the Lakers are better than us? All they have is Kobe, Gasol and Bynum.
I really hope they go into the season without any major changes. They would basically have only Kobe, Artest and Gasol for our game (Bynum is suspended for the first 5 games).

It's not the squad that's the problem...

Verdict is still very out on Spanish Chocolate though. Not to mention Johnson, Williams, and Beasley all play the same position. Then again Williams and Beasley are also 4s, which means that they also play the same position as Love.

While I don't think the Kings improved enoug to make the playoffs, this is the year where they have a good chance to make it despite their average roster. We really don't have to worry about teams like Phoenix, Utah, Houston, Golden State and New Orleans, even the Clipps. That leaves plenty of opportunities to have a playoff berth even if it's the 8th seed. Now it's really up to how our youngins handle back to back to back and constant road trips, playing together and the biggest factor...Westphal's inconsistent line ups.

I think the clippers are gonna be in that 6-8 range in the west, i live in so cal and down the stretch they were playing some good ball. But they had a ton of injuries to key guys that really set them back. If they are healthy they are better than us atm and will make the playoffs. I think we can compete with the 7 ad 8 seeds with phoenix, utah, houston and golden state. Hornets will be last. Timberwolves could suprise as well.

Minny looks way better than the Kings. Houston and NO are slight enigmas. You have to see how their players gel after all the trades and trade talk. Phoenix looks awful. I don't think Nash can do enough to save them from their talent drought. Utah is at that phase where they're bad, but at least hopeful with some young talent like Favors. Warriors are not a playoff team, but look better than the Kings. Portland is better than the Kings. Denver's roster is incomplete, so I don't know.
