Big news. Also, make sure to attend tonight's City Council meeting at 6 P.M. if you can to show your support.
 
Nice timing of the announcement too. Tonight is the first night they are asking the city to get out the checkbook for the ESC.
 
I knew there was a reason that AEG made a formal statement regarding their willingness to assist with the arena. All news releases so far have been carefully calculated. The city leaks info to gauge reactions, so when they make the formal announcement, they are able address all of the issues immediately. I like the way this is going. Can't wait to find out just how much of an investment they want to make. My dream is that AEG wants to make a "Sacramento Live" like the LA version and invest as high a percentage as they are for Farmers Field. But I'll take whatever they're offering.

Agreed. Unlike past efforts in Sacramento, this time the parties are working together and nobody is being "blindsided" with information. There is coordination here on the topics, press releases, and agenda items. People are actually, *GASP*, working together this time to get something put together that WORKS!

Very glad to see the forward movement on this!!!

One notable difference from previous efforts is the lack of Maloof participation.

I like it. She just admitted she doesn't understand the questions she is asking. Wonder who is feeding them to her???
