I dunked a tennis ball once in high school, but I'm 33 now and that was a long time ago. I'm still fit, but being 5'9" and having aging "springs" pretty much precludes me from dunking. Even the thought of it hurts my knees...

i did once. after my senior year of high school. so does that mean I can? I can grab rim routinely, but I can never jump high enough not to embarass myself.
i can touch the bottom of the ring but yeah not there yet, at 19 i think ive stopped growing so hoping to gain some muscle strength and get over the hump
I've thrown down my fair share.. my main problem was getting the ball above the rim, so i started clutching it like the DR J "rock the cradle dunk" and I found my dunking niche.
I was able to dunk all throughout HS. I am probably around my athletic prime at 27 now, but since I dont lift with my legs anymore (only run and lift upper body), I get stuffed by the rim. My ups were even way better my freshman year of HS. LOL.
I wish I was 5'9 when I was TWELVE!! Lucky.. I am 5'9 to 5'10 and am 34 No more growing for me!
Oh I can't dunk on regulation, never have never will. I was able to 'kinda' dunk on a 10ft rim like when I weighed 145 back when I was 19-20. I could dunk with a smaller ball, but couldn't get the bigger one over the hoop w/o losing it.
