How about Greg Ostertag?

I know a lot of you will probably laugh but I think Greg is still a pretty good player.

He came here out of shape and didn't get any playing time under Adelman. He is more than capable of blocking shots and grabbing rebounds.

Of course the question is who would we trade for him?

A lot of guys didn't get playing time under Adelman, Musselman is said to be much different and uses his roster the best he can, what a nice change. I'd like Greg if we will play for the league vet min. What do you guys think about Jamal Sampson, he didn't get much of a chance here, do you think he should get another look? I think him and Justin would have fun together. :D

Difference is Greg is a proven defender + Rebounder and Sampson has potential. Greg got PT in Utah every season but came to sacramento and played very few minutes a game.

I would love to have him back. From the playoff series against the Sonics a Tag/Miller frontline looked to have had some promise.

Tag is actually the exact player we need. Too bad he retired.

Although Greg was out shape when he was hear(not sure when he has ever been in shape) he still could have contributed and I think he was vastly underused by the coaching staff.

I would think Greg Ostertagg and Coach Musselman would not see eye to eye on much...

i am looking for a smiley or something. Tag and Miller got killed in that series by Jerome "trash bag" James. How could you take anything positive from that series.

Actually, for about 7 minutes in game 1 of that series, Brad played the 4 with Tag at the 5 and they stopped Jerome and the Sonics parade to the basket very well. No one could believe Adelman never did it again during the rest of the series. Of course, with Ray Allen dropping threes at about a 60% clip, it didn't make a real difference....

Brad Miller was also casted, just coming off a broken leg, playing for the first time since late February. Skinner's thumbs were sprained and had a sprained foot. Ostertag was ok.

ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!!! I have the proof on tape! It was 14 feet of straight up Deliverance style beat down.

I was pissed that he never went back to that lineup, they worked very well together. They were the exact opposite style of players and it clicked.

And it did make a difference, the Kings were starting to make their way back. Oh well.
