This pre-season, our lanes have not looked like the diamond lanes during rush hour...until tonight. What was the one difference, at least in the frontcourt? Miller wasn't there.

While I'm not saying he's a defensive juggernaut, I am saying he at least takes up more space inside.

If anything, I think we missed MIller more on defense ... ... than offense.

Eh. I dunno. Didn't we give up 46 points in the paint last time we played NOK and only 40 tonight? They also didn't have Chandler last game, did they?

While I'd wager a good 10-12 of those 40 are fastbreak points off our TOs.

There's no question that Miller takes up space, but I'd wager no one thinks about it when they drive the lane.

A lot of those points in the paint by the Hornets the first time were when Miller wasn't even on the court.

Our defense has been doing a great job of shutting down the lane for the most part, and I think some credit has to go to Brad Miller. I'm not saying he's ready for the all-NBA defensive first team or anything but he has been there working.

With the injuries to Miller and Bibby, isn't Musselman playing russian roulette with Artest? I'd rather see Williams or Amundsen in there late in the game to see what they can bring to the table.

Artest wants to be on the floor 48 minutes of every game. Muss tries to give him the occasional breather but he can't keep him off the floor very long.

Petrie got him cause any 3rd string player waived by the Knicks is DEFINATELY worth picking up!

Not a terrible shock. When we're missing both our tall PG and our short PG, who is going to keep the assist/TO ratio above 1? All those forwards and SGs?

Would have been nice to have had Williams on the floor a little, just to see if having a C in the game would have made any difference.

I do have a theory ... It's pre-season and Muss has already seen the team play against the Hornets.

We're playing Seattle tomorrow. I think Muss may have wanted to wait and see how the guys on the bubble play against them.

Of course, this is just grasping at straws. Nature hates a void, so it's only normal for us to try and figure out a reason for whatever we don't understand.

What are the chances of kings winning a close game with Bibby not playing ?

I don't necessarily think it shows how much "Miller" is to this offense.

Miller is king of getting bottled up.

Not having Bibby is what killed us. Our offense looked stagnant at times, with our PG looking lost and jacking poor shots. Bibby at least can settle it down.

i dont think miller is getting bottled up, him and bibby know eachother best of anybody on the team, they can do some pretty beastly pick and pop stuff and are damn good two man combo at times, bibby and brad just know eachothers games very well. in the beginning of theseason brad might not look like an allstar without bibby playign with him, but i think brad is gonna be very good this year, and if he regresses at all i think it just hes natrally againg, but id be surpirsed if he didnt have another year that put him amongst the top2 or 3 offesnive center

In regards to Williams and Admunson, I could see management using a type of "reverse analysis" with them. The team knows what both these young men bring to the table and what they don't. By not playing them, management can see how the other players who could be an alternate option to be cut do.

I see four players fighting for three spots. IMHO, the four players are Hart, Taylor, Williams and Admuson. Tonight should be interesting to see who plays and who doesn't.

someone on here made a good point a while back, when they said that brad really didnt post very good numbers at all aganst sa even during the reg season. no excuse, but clearly they had him matched, what about brad when we play houston, hes a beast, always has greta games aganst yao. if we had matched up with them in the first round he prolly would have posted incredible numbers, seriously though check out his numbers aganst houston their inclredibly beastly

Yao doesn't defend Miller out at the deep jumper area Miller likes. That is why Miller puts up decent numbers.
