Peja
Bench
I thought he sat out all of last year so he wouldn't have to be super-careful about his back.
That's my point!

Bynum wouldn't be a factor against the Hornets. He'd be in foul trouble practically every game. I think that's the strategy to handicapping the Lakers, until Bynum gets more disciplined defensively.
Pedja hasn't practiced whole year and takes loads of pills just so he can play. He's been hit and miss the whole year, even shooting better 3pt percentage then 2 pts. If your strategy against NO is to stop him, just wait until West drops 30 on you, and CP3 is still running the show whether Peja is 1/9 or 10/15 (as has been the case this whole year).
I thought he sat out all of last year so he wouldn't have to be super-careful about his back. As much as I loved to watch him shoot, I'm certainly glad we didn't give him the $63 million contract. It runs through 2112, right?

It's not going to be Chandler and West; it's going to be Chris Paul and Company driving the lane and drawing contact. Bynum leaves his feet trying to block shots way too often. He also swings his arms which causes the refs to whistle him for fouls they wouldn't if he just kept his arms straight up.Disagree based on what I've seen. Chandler and West aren't going to draw him into foul trouble any more than he will them. Bynum can score over both -- they'll have a time trying to contain him if anything. He's got the height / weight advantage over both.
Any team's strategy will be reduce a reputed shooter's open looks.* That's a given, especially since Peja isn't exactly Reggie Miller off the ball. If David West is dropping 30 on you, you got issues that can't be fixed. Put enough pressure on Peja and that equates to one of their major cogs not giving them what they got in the RS. They'll have to make up for that elsewhere.
*LA did a poor job of that in their first head to head. He had 10 treys. Second time around, not as bad, they waxed NO in their house. Bynum was too bigga eat for TC.

He's an undisciplined shot blocker. Almost all young shot blockers are. Remember Ewing? He'll get better, but for right now, the goal is to neutralize Bynum by attacking him on defense and getting him into foul trouble.
I think you're overstating Pedja's role. Like I said, he is still all busted up and just started playing consistently last few weeks, meanwhile NO was winning even when Pedja was limited (minutes) or shot 1/9 or some such. Meanwhile David West is always open and draining those mid-range jumpers. You have to see it to believe it and I guess you watched NO only when they played LAL. Pedja did play exceptionally well in first NO-LAL game, but it is West who is their steady Robin to CP3's Batman. In fact, I could make a case that West's emergence has made it easy for Pedja who can now camp behind the arc and you can't really afford to have somebody play him close all the time like teams used when he was a King.
LAL with Bynam back, Kobe doing his thing and with PJ as coach is probably slight favorite, but it wouldn't be easy.
Go back to the old avatar it was much prettier ;pPeja FTW!![]()
What a game. What a shot by Peja! What a statement game by the Hornets! CP3 deserves the MVP as much as anyone right now, really.
I wasn't chuckling at the 2:10 mark of this clip. http://youtube.com/watch?v=GMV5o0OUwLo&feature=relatedWonder if anyone was chuckling at that shot...

Btw Peja is going to participate in 3 point shootout again!
Funniest thing I have ever heard. Mr. Clutch and Peja in the same sentence. (next to Ron and sane, of course) There must be something in the water down there in NOrleansHornest back on track. Won their 4 straight after losing 3 in a row. Pedja has been playing awesome as of late and tonight he was yet again Mr Clutch with a game winner. west has cooled down big time since he was selected for the ASG. Bobby was solid tonight. Funny thing about the Hornets - they have 15 games left against the east
