In Reno's most recent game Honeycutt (averaging less than 10 min/gm) had a great stst line:
28:33 min, 9-14 shooting and 23 total pts, 7 reb, 3 stl, 1 blk and only 2 TO

onthe other hand, in same game, Whiteside in the first 5:19 of the game got 3 fouls, 0 pts and 1 reb and never came back.

it was just one game ........... hmmmmm

That one game result goes along with the way I think about both players. Honeycutt could work out to be a good NBA player. Unfortunately Whiteside just doesn't seem to have it. It would be nice to be wrong but...........

in past 5 games Hineycutt's minutes are on upswing whereas Whiteside's are going down. I like gradual increase for Honeycutt as he had two yr college ball and has much better skill set than the big, ego based stringbean who is still way too one-dimensional for a second year player who should be learning, not regressing.

In fairness to Whiteside, in the previous game, Whiteside played very well, and Honeycutt was terrible. So as you said at the end. It was just one game.. In total, Whiteside has played a little better than Honeycutt, and this last game is probably Honeycutt's best so far. Hopefully it was a breakout game..

Whiteside has been putting up great stats, something like 12/7/4blks in around 20 mpg, but I havent actually seen him play, and according to those who have, he still looks way lost out there.

Good on Honeycutt though! Hopefully he continues to improve (and also, he should hit up some casino buffets and gain some weight), I love his skillset, and lord knows we need some production from the 3.

Bring back HOneycutt and give him a try. What have you got to lose, our other small forwards aren't doing anything.
