So you agree that we'd have to make trades to get rid of some of our main, talented guys right? Then are we really stockpiling talent? IMO you're moving laterally more than anything.

sigh. You're not moving laterally when you end up with the most talented/valuable player in a trade. You're also not moving laterally when you end up trading for the *best* player on your team.

I'm not sure who you are referring to with our "main, talented guys", but I'm assuming you mean Thorton who's not even on the team, and Jimmer who's a rookie picked #10. If you have to move one or both of them to better balance the roster because you just picked up a top 5 PF, then you do it.

The one you would have to move would be Cousins. You can't have two ball-dominant posts at the same time. Especially two who are more successful in the high post than in the low post.

I rather have "the next Vlade" Darko than have Bosh on our team. That is how much I dislike Bosh. At least Darko does one thing we need defense.

I'm not a big fan of Bosh. Never have been. I don't deny he has talent. I just think that talent is somewhat overrated. However, if were going to persue a player either through freeagency or by trade, that player should be looked at as an addition to the team we already have, and not as a player thats going to displace players already on the team. I'm not saying that Bosh couldn't be that player, its just that I doubt it. If you take a serious look at what Bosh would bring to the team, along with the team needs, and the price tag, it doesn't make sense.

Chris Bosh is the 'anti' of what we need on this team...Dalembert/Hickson are a much better choice, with Thompson off the bench. Now, I'm not really sure what Petrie has in mind for trades/FA's after the lockout is over(whenever the hell THAT is!)but I'm sure he's got a 'wish list' of players, and it wouldn't surprise me(and I'd almost EXPECT it)if he made another big trade when the lockout ends...to go along with a decent FA signing. So I'm expecting 2 more impact moves before the next season starts, either this year or next.
