Arthur by a long shot, it's not even close. More athletic, just as skilled if not moreso, potential all-star, and younger.

Why choose Arthur/Hibbert???

Arthur didn't even start for Kansas and it's extremely doubtful he will come out this year as he didn't do much to impress this year. I think he's still 18

uh yea that's because arthur was a freshman on a really talented team.

Arthur is a tweener. I'm not sold on him yet. Needs to bulk up and proves he can grab more than 4 rebounds a game. Right now, he is just another Bo Outlaw. Ok, maybe a little better than Outlaw, but he definitely should stay in school.

I think it's obvious he's underdeveloped and should stay in school, but it's definitely the type of pick we should go after considering we won't be that high up in the lottery. sort of a buying low type of pick.

I see your point. If Arther is there at #10-ish then we have to take a hard look at him. But I do hope we get someone better than Arthur. If it's between Arthur, McRoberts, Green, and Acie Law, I'd go for Law.

Did you go to Kansas or is this guy your Cousin??

Calm down. To project him as a lottery pick at this point is pretty ridiculous and he didn't really help his case with his play in the Tourney. He may declare for the draft but these types of players don't usually fair to well their first 2-3 years in the NBA.

well both nbadraft.net and draftexpress are doing it, so i guess they're being ridiculous too. i'm not trying to proclaim him as the messiah or anything like that, but he would be a very good fit for our current situation. Has very good upside, good athleticism, good length, and solid skills offensively. high risk high reward, but i don't think he's any more risky than Jianlian.

Of course, Arthur is expected to come out in the 08 draft, and is expected to be in the lottery. I think the kid has a lot of potential, and could be a pretty high pick this year if he comes out (probably ~15).

If I had to choose between the two, I would pick the Arthur. But of course I would rather choose somebody else above them at the 9 spot.

As much as I love Law IV, you'd take a shoot first, undersized point guard over Jeff Green, who I think will be like a Tim Thomas who actually gives a **** on the defensive end and is a high character guy?

To each his own.

law is 6'3, how is that undersized?

Law's got good size (reminds me of Rod Strickland a bit actually), and actually of all the 2nd tier guys is one of the ones who's game is most fully developed/realized.

Law at least has a position. I'm not sure if Green is a SF or a PF. As of now, I consider him a tweener. But even if he sucessfully develops into a SF, I still take Law over Green. Why? A good PG is much harder to find than a good SF.

Neither is coming anywhere near dominating the collegiate level. Both are probably not even the best players on their respective teams.

Arthur plays on a stacked Kansas team and might be their most talented player. Hibbert is probably the best guy at Georgetown and he's the guy who makes their D work well. What the heck are you talking about?

From a lottery spot, I want a game changer. I really dont see it. We can agree to disagree.

I'd rather have Arthur but there is no contesting it BMiller52 neither of these players is close to dominating the college game. And I agree that Rush may be the most talented but I think Arthur needs time to fairly compare.

Oden isn't exactly dominating the college game either but I guess that makes him a bad prospect too? Fact is big men don't get as many touches in college. That game is all about chucking 3s.

With where we're going to be in the lottery(having a bad pick like 10 or 11) you don't get someone who dominates the college game. All of those guys are gone in the top 5. We'll be lucky if we can get Arthur, Hibbert, or if there aren't any good bigs left then Conley.

game changer? like who? you really think we're going to jump to the top 4?
Id sure like to jump to the number 4 spot, wouldnt you?

If we cannot I think there are better options then the two players in this thread. There is nothing wrong with that. Its an opinion I and others have developed by watching these play.
