Here's what the "experts" had to say...

Greenspan 101

G-League
...after game 1. Dime magazine on msn.com sports playoff power rankings:

"If we could have, we would've ranked them 17th. The Spurs made the Kings looks like amateurs in Game 1; it was never a contest. Sac-town's backcourt got ripped apart by Tony Parker and didn't even look like they were trying. And to top it all off, Ron Artest got himself suspended for Game 2. No way this series makes it back to Texas after Game 2."

Now that's foresight!

I guess that 82 cent deal or whatever was a ripoff. I don't think there's really such a thing as "quality sports journalism" outside of guys like Dr. Z who are actually good writers (and honestly I can't think of anyone else that really qualifies as a good writer). If anyone thinks paying for that content is any better than free stuff posted online or even fanboards is really fooling themselves.

Well, if that was actually copied word for word, I'd say the bad grammar alone disqualifies his opinion.

After this frist round I was/am going to calculate the scores of all the "experts"

The only people to listen to IMO are the former coaches. The ex-players and just normal joes are tossing crap on the wall the same as we fans do. It's nothing more then entertainment. Sure isn't expert analysis.

Let's be honest, most analysts don't keep up with the Kings as much as we do. Most "experts" don't realize the Kings were a different team after the trade for Artest and went 25-14 with him I believe, while only losing a couple at home. Add to that that with the injuries to Wells & Rahim in the frist half and you can see why we didn't win more games.

Out of all the "experts" Kenny Smith seems to be the most accurate and objective one. Remeber, Charles said Utah would beat out Sac for the 8th seed while Kenny said that Artest and the Kings would make it.

I turned on ESPN News yesterday. I must have missed it because there was no mention of game 4 at all. They waxed on about Cleveland-??? and the Lakers-Phoenix games, but Not a word on the Kings victory over the World champions. It amazes me. What will they do when the Kings win the NBA championship?

It was there, just later in the show. Didn't help that we were the last game of the day.

An upset of the Spurs would go a long way in getting the team media respect.

Beating the defending champions would definitely be huge and perhaps for once all those experts would be jumping on our wagon if we do.

Media respect is much like officiating -- every team's fans are convinced they are getting the short end of the stick.

it would be about time. I've noticed anytime we beat a great team we never get front page on NBA.com but when we lose to a bad team they always feel it's a great idea to throw us on the front page of nba.com about how we lost, how we're horrible, how we're failing etc. But ever since Artest we've barely been on NBA.com for anything outside when we've lost with him on the team.
