Going fast! I was told that 117 is sold out already (or at least didn't have a block of 4) and got 118. Don't delay if you want these!

I've already got a pair for section 118, plus I'll be there shooting the game. Hey guys, more signs, more everything that shows the world what great fans we have here!

Oh how I wish I lived in California. I would be going to ALL of the remaining home games. We have to sell out the rest of the year! Lets do it guys! Donate for other people to go on STR. They will have a donation fund going soon to buy tickets for kids to go.

It pains me that I can't be a part of this. I used to have season tickets in 217 right on the railing at one time. I actually thought they were better seats than when I had season tickets in 105. No one could stand and block your view. Unless they could fly of course. Anyway, I'll be there in spirit.

Time for some good Hawes signs.

Pure. Joy.

The Maloofs are finalizing an agreement to sell the Sacramento Kings to the Hansen-Ballmer led Seattle group, sources tell Yahoo! Sports.

Can someone please explain why I should care about Spencer Hawes retweeting something?

Spencer is showing support for the fans of his former team. It's just another indication of the widespread support for the cause among NBA players. Considering how poorly Hawes was treated by a number of fans because of real or imagined imperfections, I think it shows a mark of character on his part.

We need more contributions. But yes the goal is for a white out in our sections.

Folks - Mike is being very nice about this, but he isn't getting those shirts for free. The Crown Downtown group could really use some more donations just to break even on some of this stuff. Please visit their website at www.crowndowntown.org and give what you can. If not now, when?

i think maybe these are the Hawes Tweets that Section101 should have put on here......

I feel terribly for the fans in Sacramento on a day like today. Always the class of the entire league. It's difficult to watch a city that

Back in the city I grew up learning the game. I loved every minute playing in front of the fans in sac, it's tough how one cities joy comes

Except in this case he was happy because he heard they're moving the Kings to Seattle.

He's got mixed feelings and I cannot blame him. But this isn't really about Spencer, is it? Let's get back to our focus on selling out this game!!!

Will there be enough T shirts to create a minor white out? You take donations and give them away, right, Mike?

i think the arena should provide white shirts and whiteout the entire place, much like teams do for playoff games

The arena is still run by Maloof Sports and Entertainment. Crown Downtown and Here We Buy are the exact opposite of MSE. The whole purpose of Here We Buy 2 is to once again send the message to the league that Sacramento wants to KEEP the Kings. Not exactly the message MSE agrees with, considering their binding agreement with Hansen.

Yet, they are giving us crazy good ticket deals and they know exactly who we are and what we want. I suppose money is money, then, and they don't think we can make a difference. All I have to say to that is, we'll show them.

I think the ticket folks are doing their best in an impossible situation. Getting freebies like t-shirts would require someone to sign off on the expense. I don't think the rank and file are against us but I don't see anyone wanting to be the one trying to get permission for something like t-shirts that might even be construed as undermining the proposal currently on the table.

It gets complicated. I'm just glad you and Mike and Lynne and Ron are out there on the front lines. I just made my donation to CrownDowntown. I only wish it could be more.

:)

well good point, but if you think about it, a sale to the Sacramento ownership group could potentially net the Maloofs more money in their pocket compared to the Seattle deal

They cannot negotiate with anyone else. There is a binding agreement in place to sell the team to Hansen. Any attempt to circumvent that agreement could nullify it and force the Maloofs to return the $30 million they just received.

Face it. You just didn't think it all the way through before you posted. :)

That is correct. Nobody is charged for the shirts. Some have volunteered cash when they get a shirt, but very few. Mike has the shirts made and they are given away to anyone who wants one at the City Council meetings (like tonight!) and other events.

Again, nobody at Crown Downtown is getting any income from this. The contributions are WAY short of the costs and would only be used to defray actual expenditures. Mike and others are VERY MUCH "in the hole" financially making these shirts and giving them out (and signs, etc.).
