MIAMI -- Penny Hardaway's comeback attempt with the Miami Heat is over.




The 36-year-old forward was waived Wednesday, a move that cleared the roster spot Miami needed to sign another former first-round draft pick -- guard Luke Jackson.

Damn, how the mighty have fallen. Penny had the potential to be one of the best ever, and now he's getting waived for Luke Jackson

Very talented but was never great defensively. Overall, he was plagued with injuries. He was athletic but didn't make an adjustment soon enough to his game so that he won't be injury prone. The great ones do to prolong their careers. That's another bar that separates the great ones from the good ones.
