The losing streak is up to 4 as the Kings played their best game on the trip but still lost to the always hated Mavs. Kings finished the trip 1-4 having played only couple competitive games. Kings are 26-32 and it feels like long time ago we were flirting with the .500 record. With 24 games left Kings will play 14 at home and 10 on the road. We won't leave the West anymore but we will host the Heat and the Raptors at home. We are 17-10 at home and we will be in position to win some games and also to upset some teams that are fighting for the PO positions. Since we can't spoil our draft pick anymore - we might as well "spoil" someone else's season.

I am going to be honest here. The game vs heat is only there to kill time till Tuesday because our season starts Tuesday
. We got nothing else to play for anyways. Our season is 4 games "long" but it should be fun. We will have plenty of time to focus on the one but I can't help but be excited about what is ahead of us. It is like testing a new car that has been running pretty well looking for flaws. I hope that it will end up being the case of returning a rental after taking it's soul out.

It is still important to beat up on the Heat for several reasons. Payback is one of them. They abused us a week ago and it would be only fair to return the favor. We are also playing to avoid some pretty pathetic embarrassments. If we lose - we will be the only team that Heat has swept this season (Clippers still have chance to be the other one). Also Heat has only have one mini winning streak this season and we should keep it that way. Also, we have only had one 5 games losing streak and we don't need another one. Finally trashing the Heat would be a good appetizer for Tuesday. I am sure that guys aren't happy about losing 4 in a row and that they will come out strong and win us this game.

Since Theus and Muss had 26-32 records at this point of the respective season we might draw some comparisons because there actually are some. 2 obviously different things are that at this point of the respective season Theus still has his driver's license and Muss had his laptop replaced. Both of them lack experience dealing with personalities and managing the team which is sometimes more important than coaching it. They both preach kind of defense that allows the opponent 100+ points per game but Muss was actually playing it much more on the sideline. Both of them are more than capable to extend the suffering by calling irrelevant timeouts and drawing up 7-11 pt plays depending on what we need at that moment. Both of them drive us crazy with their personnel decisions. Muss had hard and Theus has AJ. Both of them avoided playing kids as much as possible and both of them tried desperately to win without having the talent or the tools to do so. looks like Theus will have a chance to last longer but both of them could clean Adelman's shoes. Each for one of them.

It isn't easy to find positive things about Kings these days but since the trade Beno has been playing some pretty good basketball. He has raised his level since getting the starting job again. His numbers are up and his turnovers are down. Mentally, he seams more relaxed since he knows that minutes are his and he has no pressure to have to produce a lot in a short time. What i would like to see is more defense and some games where his assists reach double digits. I also hope that he will remain durable because he has never played so many minutes which combined with the fact that this is Kings = potential trouble. Keep it up Beno !

We did well against the Mavs. We were prepared to play, we took advantage from the fact that Mavs played spurs the night before. We competed and were up for most parts of the game. We couldn't finish but they do have more talent. The score is too high and the coach is to blame for the last 5-6 points because of his timeouts and fouls etc. We shot well and did a decent job on the glass as well as getting 7 blocks as a team which is rare. We couldn't stop them whatsoever allowing 100+ points for the 6 straight time. At the end - it wast their bench or better say Stackhouse who made the difference.

Allen gets a very weak TDM but his scoring is a bonus for the Mavs and it made the difference
LW-VC went to Terry as expected. He sucked.
RA&1 award went to George who should have traded himself after this game
Salmons gets yet another JHA
SAR-Methuselah award was defended by AJ
WTF moment of the game - I would pick the last 45 seconds that lasted 6 minutes for no reason at all.

when You play a team like the Heat -You not only play the team but also You are expected to win and You are playing against potential embarrassment. Heat suck but they aren't as bad as their record indicates. They can be potentially dangerous. Since they beat us last week - they have won 2 of 3 all on the road and their confidence is improving. We need to come out strong and pay them back for the abuse that we experienced in Miami. We need to rebound better and do something on defense because lately we really suck at it and Bibby is gone and can't be blamed anymore. This is a good challenge for the guys.

Heat @ 11-45 and 5-23 on the road (Suns, Clippers, Sonics, Nets, Knicks) are one win away from catching the Wolves and sharing the title of "Ultimate Suck" that they have been carrying this season. They haven't beaten anyone twice this season. They have 2 good players and bunch of crap. TDM will go to Banks. LW-VC will go to Davis. Kings have got to win this one.
