I'm sure you can extrapolate that logic to outside factors that would create a feeling of "being hot."

A feeling is just that, a feeling. Being hot only exists in retrospect. The rest is all expectations that may or may not be met depending on whether the player makes his next shot or not, which has just as much chance as any other shot. Since I just posted the research I was talking about above, I will stop explaining now and if you have any other argumets I would suggest you take them up with those who conducted the research.
