Hawes and Cisco

The two have the most heart and I think cisco out is a huge hit. he is perfect for this team. I like the hustle and all out effort from these two, also i love that thompson is following this attitude. its going to be a nice year (LONG) but nice.

I saw something I really liked last night.

After the final buzzer sounded and the Kings were walking off the court, there was a brief clip of Hawes pulling his shirt out (I think) while walking and he let out what appeared to be an *expletive deleted* and looked VERY upset about losing (mic wasn't on him, just read his lips).

I like this guy. He's intense. He REALLY wants to win. And he's p****d if his team doesn't.

My friends, this is a good thing.

I agree. :D I saw that and the disappointed look on Jason's face, too.

Talking about *expletives deleted* I saw Kevin really let go with a shouted F-word when he hit the bench after one of his clanked 3s. I expect Kevin will put in even more shooting time, before the next game. He was clearly very upset with his performance. I know he felt he really let the team down. That's good, too.

the F bomb is exactly what i am talking about. also garcia doesnt back down from anybody. i love that.

We have been known as a soft team. i am glad Spencer aka "Block Party" Hawes let that loose.

CISCO HURRY BACK!

I think kings should be more emotional on the floor, show more energy and heart (like Moore, Garcia, Hawes)...so that we can see their aggressivness and eagerness on their faces too....because sometimes I see who-cares faces and this really makes me mad......the whole team must breathe as one...

I have no idea where this Spencer "Mutumbo" Hawes came from, but if he can keep showing that kind of nastiness defensively as he did in the fourth quarter (not so much early on), we have ourselves an absolute steal of a pick.

I just wish Reggie (or the guards) would give him more chances to operate in the low post.

I strongly agree.

Those pump fist gestures can really boost the team's and fans' energy and fighting spirit.

.

While fans like to see those outward signs of emotion (me too, as long as it's controlled and channeled properly), I think it's a mistake to assume that players who don't show so much emotion overtly aren't feeling exactly the same and playing accordingly.

I also like the icewater types, where sometimes you just see something in change in their eyes. They just go out to prove something by their actions.

Those gestures probably do more for the fans than they do the team. Not to say I don't like to see that kind of spontanity, its just that teammates know who cares and who doesn't. One can only hope that its catching.

I remember when Hawes had his first encounter with the Lopez twins at Stanford. He was totaly outplayed. He had that same look as he left the floor. Frustrated and angry. In their rematch, Hawes came out with a vengence and convincingly out played both the twins. He does have attitude. And, he's still just a kid.
