Red Lobster it is then. I also hope your wrong about Griffin. Especially if we end up drafting him. Sorry about the age difference. 67 here. At least I'm not talking about Bob Pettit, who I actually knew.

I had a little heads up on Beasley when Kansas St. played Rider. Two things were obvious in that game. Number one was that Thompson was a lot bigger than Beasley, so one of them had to be lying about his height. and Number two, Beasley had a very hard time grabbing rebounds and scoring on Thompson. To me, that didn't bode well for his future in the NBA as a power forward. I still think he has a future as a small forward, but I'm not sure he has the commitment. Everything came easy for him up until now. We'll see....
See, I saw Beasley play a couple of times, and it was obvious that the kid had an awesome offensive game. Smooth, fluid movements, never had to try too hard to get where he wanted to go... his rebound totals were not really inflated, he is lanky and long for his size, but he does not have true thick muscle build like PFs are supposed to have. His future is as a bigger SF. It's not a problem, he just has to lose a bit of weight and gain lean muscle. His total aversion to playing defense, however, shocked me. I truly believed that in the NBA he would have to wake up and smell the poop, but it hasn't happened. It sucks because I really do believe he is easily a 20 ppg scorer who would help that team immensely.

I love Thompson but you don't pass on the BPA b/c you already have a solid young player at the same position. In another thread ppl are making a legit case for Anthony Randolph over JT. No one would dare make that comparison to Griffin (I hope). People have been watching Blake so much that they take all of the amazing things he brings to the court for granted and instead focus on his few warts. Bottom line, give me one example of a player with incredible talent, athletic ability, and desire to be great that hasn't panned out and maybe I'll start to understand why people don't like Blake.

While I do like Jason Thompson, I really only see him as a double double 12-14 points 10 rebound hustle type player at best. Whether he can become an all-star i'm not so sure. Unless, Jason Thompson is a surefire all-star I don't see any reason not to draft Griffin just because we already have Jason.
