Man, last year we were so much more competitive with Beno, this year we're just getting blown out and embarassed

Hickson = Black Hole in Post (turnaround jumpshot)

Jimmer = very very poor defender and almost useless when shot isnt falling

Salmons = Makes team worse when steps foot on court

Cousins = Does not play under control

:/

You forgot:

Reke = no outside shot
Thornton = ineffecient gunner

Besides the youth, and the terrible coaching for the duration these kids have been in Sac, this is not a well put together team.

I honestly think JT into the starting 5 would be addition by subtraction. He doesnt want to take a bunch of shots like JJ, JJ would be able to go off on benchers as a second unit 1st option.

Plan B: Thornton off the bench. Reke/Thornton isnt working for the same reason Reke/Martin didnt work. Two guys that want a ton of shots and arnt really playmakers = bad backcourt match. Thornton would be quite the sparkplug, and can still get around 30mpg. Only issue here is, who do we replace him with? IT?

I dont think Adelman himself could get chemistry with our starting 5. No pointguard, and 3 guys who want to be a 1st option (4 really, JJ likes his shots). Thanks GP. Great GMing.

I had some stuff to do so I didn't get to tune into the game until the 4th quarter. It was 62 to 61 when I started watching, I think. Then they end up losing by 13 and it didn't even feel that close. Remind of last year where teams knew they could put the pressure on in the 4th and pull away for an easy win because the Kings can't score. What a bummer. And to think I honestly thought this team had a 50/50 shot at the playoffs this year. What was I thinking, lol. It's the same old garbage basketball we've endured for the last five years. Now we'll get another 4-7 pick in the lottery and do it again next year. Such is life as a kings fan.

Get Hayes in Greene into the lineup and you'll see a much more balanced offense. Salmons and Hickson shot more than Cousins and basically the same amount as Thornton and Reke. Hayes and Greene aren't looking for their offense on the floor which is the major problem we have right now with 5 guys looking to shoot at all times

Some big positives out of the game though was the willingness of Cousins and Reke to look to get other teammates involved in this one. I recall at least 3-4 times where Cousins set someone else up (they missed the shot but still) and Reke had his season high of assists

I think the obvious problem here is that you decided to watch the game. Had you not brought your mojo into it, we'd have kept the 4th quarter lead.

If JT isn't starting over JJ Hickson I'll be convinced Keith Smart is blind.

I think Smart likes JT coming off the bench giving us some kind of spark, that's why I suspect it will be Salmons coming out of the starting line-up. I mean as a Head Coach he has to know that Salmons has missed some 20+ 3-pointers in a row...jeez what a scary stat.

In the post-game Smart said "I've got the simplest offense you can run. You just move it to a spot and move it to the next spot. But for whatever reason we're trying to make the play ourselves with the defense set, looking at the basketball."

Maybe our guys are just dumb.

This hasn't been the case every night, but Jimmer was +8 tonight (best on team), and the team always brought the game closer when he was in. He had a good - not great - but good stat line. Kind of a weird night to pick on his defense IMO.

Smart showed he sees the problems, and he pointed out the lack of a vet PG. What he can do about it... I don't know.

Wouldn't Beno make a heck of a lot of difference right about now?

Never could understood why we broke up what was a pretty good 3 guard rotation we had going and the 3 man front court rotation we had going in the second half of last season. Oh well, it looks like we like taking one step forward, then 2 back.

The core is still here but the rest of the pieces just do not fit.

Where the EFF was Isaiah Thomas tonight?!? C'mon, he's the only true PG we have on our damn roster!

Edit: this really IS starting to look like the 'Major League' of NBA franchises...hope there's some sort of happy ending for us like the Indians had in the movie

Absolutely! Where the frickin frackin was IT? It's mind-boggling not to have him in there when his ballhandling is desperately needed. He's about the only "watchable" guy out there also. At least I can enjoy watching him play, whereas with everyone else it's just frustrating.

Yes, Beno would have made a big difference. We lost a good ballhandler in Beno and we got a black hole in Salmons. Salmons, Thornton and Tyreke????? This isn't exactly a huge surprise.

That thought has popped into my mind more than once.

The only good you could say about Jimmer last night was that he wasn't any worse than the rest.

I think you're right about both rotations. We tried to improve but so far it has had the opposite effect. I don't think the coach and Petrie can go on patience much longer.

The Matrix Reloaded (2003) -- another infamous letdown without which the original movie would have a bigger legend. Even though I have been assured this is not true, this one always felt to me like The Matrix itself was meant to be a standalone and they had to scramble for far less compelling sequel plots (how exactly do you continue after your hero has ended the first movie as a superhero capable of manipulating the time and space of his environment?) Like most comic books which get out of control that way, the answer is you get stupid. I was one of those who liked the Architect's techobabble speech at the end though. Was the high point of this one for me other than Monica Bellucci's cleavage.

.

Hey I loved parts of that movie ;)

Alright, stretching here, but since this was kind of a bad sequel, Theme = Bad Movie Sequels

Somehow, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull did not make the list. Now, I'll grant I didn't see it, but could Ocean's Twelve have been so bad to knock "Indy IV" off the list?

Actually did not think of that mess. It could've if I had wanted to waste a whole other post giving Cisco one.

I agree wholeheartedly, unfortunately. I think more than anything, they are hesitant to believe in the system, and simply choose to override what Smart dictates. This, of course, leads to one on one play and lots of swear words from many Kings fans :/

Letting him go was probably the biggest mistake in Magoof history. Cant say im surprised by their ineptness anymore.

When R.A. was out I thought it was a good idea to go another direction BUT I never thought that direction would be down a HUGE BLACKhole into the abyss. I can't think of another major league team in ANY sport or in the college level that has been through so many coaches in such a short period.

You might be right because they don't do it. Frankly, I think a significant part of that is that they really are inexperienced, can't do it, or are afraid, hesitant to do it. Also, since they don't seem to do it naturally like second nature, they hesitate and the opportunity is lost.

Glad to see more and more KF's recognizing this fact.

Dumping your most reliable, steadying player on the pipe-dream that IT and Jimmer can learn how to be an NBA PG in one season is borderline delusional thinking.

Thinking that John ****ing Salmons is the answer to fill the absurdly-large hole at SF is equally delusional, but at least there was some historical evidence that maybe he could have, if he was playing the best ball of his career.

Putting this team's future on IT/Jimmer and John ****ing Salmons just really pisses me off - I mean, how dare Petrie do that?

About the theme, Brick - great theme.
I so agree with the Zorro sequel - just so so bad.
There were some good parts of Matrix 2, but I agree that it's pretty clear they made Matrix 1 as a stand-alone, and just shoe-horned in the story to extract 2 bad movies from it (3 10x worse than 2, though - I mean come on - giant mecha-robots vs 250,000 squids? Wouldn't one EMP pulse have been handy in defense?).
I'll disagree with Conan 2, since the genre is a cheese-fest anyway, there were some funny parts and strong enough fantasy writing by Roy Thomas to hold up. If you saw Conan as solely-bloody violence and R rating, than I could see how it might disappoint - but there were some nice fantasy sequences in 2 (Ice castle w/ mirror-mage and beast, dungeon-crawl with evil cult, Dagos the Dreaming God's great ritual sequence, etc).

I'd add in American Psycho 2, since it was so drastically removed from the first it was a travesty of sequelness.

Yeah, I thought he and Rubio did a good enough job of out-white guying each other to the point of negating each other in the first half.

Conan the Destroyer was awesome. Superior Basil Poledouris musical score, umm.... Actually, that might be it. I did watch it like a billion times when I was 10, but I guess that underscores the point.
