Don't Make Me Use The Bat
Men against boys.

And there would have been a funny picture to accompany that, except I hereby declare that the internet sucks, because not one of you billions of users has ever thought to post a single funny picture under the title "Men Against Boys". All you get are a bunch of stupid soccer pics because some manager somewhere, oooh!, once used the phrase. You. Suck.

And we kinda did too. Other than Quincy Acy playing goto star for a half, at no point did we look as focused or professional as our opponents. Pop knew exactly how many games he could play and still beat us just because his team is well coached and guys do their jobs, and ours is not and they do not.

Expected loss. but having the door opened a crack by Pop only to have us slam it ourselves makes it disappointing, which of course is exactly Pop's game.

Now things get serious with the New Orleans game. Can't mess that one up.

Boxscore

Stats: 34min 9pts (4-7, 1-2, 0-1) 4reb 1ast 2stl 2blk 2TO
Summary:again, shoulder? More likely Kawhi just kicking his ass again. Nightmare matchup for Rudy who got little besides leakouts

Gay ( ) --

Stats: 31min 16pts (7-7, 2-2, 0-0) 7reb 1ast 1stl 0blk 1TO
Summary:in the first half the Spurs decided Acy was going to hav eto beat them, and so he tried, pouring in 14pts on 6-6. Quit even looking after half.

Acy ( ) --

Stats: 36min 31pts (10-20, 1-3, 10-15) 9reb 3ast 1stl 0blk 4TO
Summary:poor start on D, big O numbers mostly because of Pop's games. Too big for West, too fast for Marjonovic.

Cousins ( ) --

Stats: 15min 3pts (1-5, 0-1, 1-1) 2reb 0ast 0stl 0blk 1TO
Summary:remains totally overwhelmed by elite teams. Avg is 5.0pts vs. Spurs this yr on .250, and again stripped and bothered with no Green.

McLemore ( ) --

Stats: 36min 9pts (4-9, 0-1, 0-0) 1reb 8ast 2stl 0blk 6TO
Summary:erratic game. Seemed unfocused and making odd decisions, but when we made our runs Rondo was guiding them.

Rondo ( ) --

You did an internet image search for "men against boys"? Consider yourself lucky that all you got were soccer pics...

For the first time in the last 20 or so years, I turned the game off. And frankly, I don't care anymore... I'm going to take a break from this and see if I can't recharge my batteries.
Mercy Baja, I feel exactly the same way and I'm going to do the same thing.

We play New Orleans tomorrow....see you there.

It wasn't a fair fight. Pop should have kept Leonard out of the game in addition to Duncan, Aldridge and Green to keep it competitive.

No Duncan, Aldridge or Green....that was pretty pathetic.

What place do you guys think the Kings would be in right now if Popovich was the coach?

Manu at age 38 coming off his first game back from surgery put up 22 on us in 15 minutes, I think they somehow still find a way to beat us.

I caught the game on DVR, and I don't understand the responses here.
It wasn't a badly-played game by the Kings, considering the crap-show that has been many of their games the past 2 years.....

It's not like they didn't show up in Mexico City, or punted the entire first quarter against the Pelicans... TWICE, or screwed around the entire game vs the 76ers, or made boneheaded mistakes/airballs to lose the game in the last 2 minutes....

This game, they were simply outclassed by a better team. And the Spurs were hitting some pretty difficult shots.

Manu had stitches in his $#@ #@%& and still scored 22 points. Would you expect anything less from a man who would slap down a bat???
