It is different however in that player X in the 20pt game is normally doing much of it against reserve players and a couch lounging over on the bench having some nachos long after the game has been called. Reke was doing it against Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili with Pop calling timeouts trying to break the momentum in a game that had been competitive only a minute or two before the run began, and which quickly became competitive again.

Had it been against any other team, I think you could make the case that the D was slacking off, but Pop just doesn't stand for that stuff. It was like the timeout he called at 30 seconds in to the first quarter after Reke drilled the three. The Spurs could have been up 40, but if Reke goes off like that against the D, somebody's got some 'splaining to do when they get in the locker room with Pop.

Yeah that pissed me off too. Don't kick a man while he is down. As frustrated as we might be with his play, he is equally as frustrated. More so, I hope.
I agree. Never have done it in all my years watching the Kings in Arco. However, from that experience, I'm not at all surprised that the Kings were booed. What happened in the two or three minutes before the booing was pretty bad. Only our good Martin is capable of doing it quite that way. That was not a part of his game I missed.

That's a good point. But don't you think that the Spurs stopped giving 100%. Heck, I would try to conserve energy knowing that I was facing 8 road games.

More likely - Pop is telling them "Do not foul ANYONE. Look like you are playing D but don't stick your hand or your body in there. Get out of the way." So clear in Duncan's body language in the last minute or so. I'm glad Evans didn't give up and took over - that says something about his leadership and ability. But that was not legit Spurs D in that last stint. Double or triple team him with non-cautionary D and another King would have had to step up here and there. And we know what that would have meant...

having watched a set of his games this year, he's a much better jumper, much more athletic off the dribble + better body control on offense.

So then you mena D Blair = Brockman with more athleticism/skills.

well, yes, he is more skilled. but for me god-given physical athleticism = body.

I actually think that Brockman is better physically than Blair (not having fully built knees will knock you down a few notches plus Brock is deceptively quick and a better jumper than you'd expect). Skills-wise, Blair is better by a mile.

And he's stronger, though that's hard to believe unless you actually see the play where he's being Brockman and just walks him under the basket to get a defensive rebound. Wow.
