...So, I'm thinking the next game I go to will be in the lower level seats--or maybe if I can get in on some of our KingsFans tickets, I'd love to meet our enthusiastic forum members!

Anyway, I'm sad the Kings will be on a 4 game road trip next. The Pelicans and Heat game are tempting now... welcoming Tyreke Evans or watching the Heat's Big Three would be pretty exciting!

We have 1 ticket left in our group for the Dec.23 game against the Pelicans. It's lower level and I can guarantee you'll be surrounded by Kings fans who cheer very loudly. :)

don't speak to soon! he averaged 24.5 ppg on 48%fg in his first 2 games in Toronto. with a 1-1 record
his first 2 games in Sac, 25ppg on 56%fg and a 1-1 record.

that FG% is very nice, lets hope it stays at or above 50
He also didn't have a big like cousins to work with just another shooter

So i just saw this stat. says a ton about our perimeter Defense. eww

With an average of 39.4 points per game allowed in the paint the Kings are ranked 11th in the NBA in the interior defense department. Not bad for a 28th ranked defense in the league.

Ah, it wouldn't feel right going without the lady friend! :(

I bet I saw/heard you guys from where we sat. Which section were you guys?

What's the % though? And how often do we foul in the post that lead to FT's?

Was there and it was great. It may not have been noisy but a happy crowd, an unbelieving crowd is fun to be a part of.

The team worked hard as a team and made the win look easy. Not an everyday experience in recent years. Building consistency is next. The ride home is a lot more fun after a game like this.

Not surprising at all: Cousins has been better than expected with his shot blocking this season, and Thompson, for as much as you and others want to insist that he's terrible, is an above average post defender. He's a ****ty help defender, but so is everyone else on our team. Plus, until last week, we've had Hayes who, like Thompson, is basically only good for one thing, but who is also better than average at that one thing.

We weren't there tonight. You most likely heard the CrownDowntown crowd. They bring it every night. They have a fair-sized group that has season tickets in the upper level.

Great win! Wish I could have watched it. One thing though:
It's a LITTLE too early on ranking Gay as a top Kings SF.
I have always liked him as a player and am stoked he's here
but
I think we need more than 2 games to judge where he sits all time...

If we're talking about past performances in a career perspective I get it
but that's kinda irrelevant since we're KINGS fans!

If you had seen the game, I'm guessing you'd understand why Rudy is getting those votes.

Must have been a REALLY good one game.
Did he drop like 50?
I'm all aboard the RG bandwagon I've been bragging about his acquisition all week
but this is the most reactionist poll I've ever seen.

Well cousins demands double team. If not he scores at will. Therefore Rudy is getting open looks and open lanes and when they close he sees the floor well and gets an assist to other wide open people because they collapse and double gay as well when he drives. Right now it looks like a perfect combo between gay and cousins. We could upgrade a few things for sure but for right now it's pretty exciting.

Technically a couple months from now would still be well too soon to accurately answer the question. That's no fun right now though. We want to chat.. and we want it now ;)

word, I'm excited too it just seems so crazy to be talking about all time greats at that slot after 2 games. He may very well be the best but time will tell and it seems insulting to Peja and Artest and L train to be talking about this already. A couple days ago he was playing basketball on foreign soil.

This is true, chat on

I really wonder what the deal is with Thornton. Is it confidence? If it is then I can have some empathy. Is something going on personally? Or us it what I am left to believe it is without knowing more, a lack of professionalism and not working to keep up with his game. With Ben not ready to play we need the "bayou bomber" more than ever, at a time when he looks the most inept

Fun game to watch. Good overall defense. Gay is a star and will be an All-Star with Kings next year along with Cuz. Acy and Gray are better bench players than expected. Malone is getting his "core" together with Cuz-Gay-DWill-IT and McLemore will take awhile to get his game going but he will. JT is just a solid, blue collar PF/C that brings 10/7 almost every night. His defense is noticeably improved this year on other Bigs.

Just watched the game (yes, I know, 2nd game in a row which had to be watched on a tape delay). I must say that this was, hands down, probably my favorite game so far this season in terms of overall performance. I think our guys played really well tonight. Rudy Gay was amazing. Cousins was solid. IT was solid, too. I just can't put Cuz and IT in the amazing category with Rudy, because Rudy definitely stole the show tonight, IMHO...

Yeah, man--it feels like we have our own LBJ now.

Well.... :p

But I have mentioned that Gay is back in the West now and basically the #2 SF in the West behind only Durant. There's a big falloff between Durant and down to guys like Iggy, Batum and Parsons. Gay is the one guy out West who fills in that gap. NBA wide he's obviously well behind the superstar guys, Durant, LBJ, George, Melo, but he's got an argument against any of the rest, Deng etc.

He's not always this good BTW. Pre-last year falloff, he was very very consistent year in and year out as a 19ppg 45% shooter type guy. I sincerely doubt 8 years into his career he's suddenly going to average 25. But he doesn't need to with Cuz here.

This is the IT that I like! That is how he should run a team every game. Sure he still had a couple of bad shots, so did Gay but overall, he ran the team first and foremost and got his points within the flow of the game. If IT plays like this, we can go somewhere but if he rediscovers his inner gunner again it will get ugly!

The poll is about TALENT, not which sf was the best king. Clearly it's Peja.

IT was as good as we could ever hope. I think not shooting in the first quarter, while it did remind me of something Kobe would do in response to criticism (which brick pointed out in his grades) did have the desired effect. A win! IT has to pick his spots. He's certainly going to get enough minutes to do that. I think part of his me me me mentality came from thinking if he didn't put up points quick, he'd be back on the bench. That's definitely not the case now. Hopefully the coaching staff made that very clear.

Rudy is everything he was not supposed to be through two games, almost going too well. I love it, but he's not a 56% shooter. Only Lebron does that. I'd be thrilled with 45% when this all plays out. To guy hoping the shooting stays above 50 for rudy, be realistic man. He's never been a 50% shooter.

I'm down with ignoring harden was hurt pretty much the whole second half and Lin was out completely if everyone else is fine with that!

As I watched the game, it occurred to me, that you don't realize how mediocre some of the players on your team are, until you add someone like Gay.

That's the exact same thing I was saying last night as I watched the game. We've had a roster full of role players for so long, I forgot what having a star player on the wing looked like. His shot is so fluid and easy, it's fun to watch!

Great trade, Pete!!!

One of the things that stood out to me were the sets we ran. I saw some nice dribble pitches between IT and Gay, which lead to pick and rolls with Gay/IT and Cousins, forcing the defenders to choose time and time again. The offense wasn't as stagnant as some of the other games, which is a positive sign.

Let's not get carried away just yet, this team will need some time to get to know each other and build some chemistry. On talent we should be able to beat teams like the Bobcats and Magic who we'll face in the next four games, but they are still a better team than the Kings are.

While its true that Rudy has never been this good he's also never played along side another dominant player that commands double teams. I think Rudy could play the best ball of his career for the kings.
