Well, one thing for sure, we won the game fair and square. And we were lucky to pull it out. Our whole bunch were out of sync during most of the 4th Q. They have to learn to do it better. They turned up their panic play at least 4 notches. Beat Boston!

This is what you fail to understand. No one argued it was. The argument is it's part of a natural shooting motion, hence it doesn't matter if there's contact or not as a natural shooting motion in that situation does not constitute doing something not natural while seeking contact.

Given you compared drifting towards the hoop to drifting away from the hoop, I don't think you understand the actual situation.
You would think anyone who's watched Tyreke Evans shoot in his years here would understand the whole balance leaning back legs sticking out thing. The additional stick out was caused by McLemore making contact around the hip, pushing Lowry further off balance backwards and naturally causing the legs to come out more.

I think there is some element of people seeing what they want to see here, myself included. But everytime I watch that, I see the shot, i see his legs go forward, and then I see him (in what seems an intentional manner to me) reaching his left foot out a few inches more seeking contact of some kind. I've watched it double-digit times from all the angles offered, so I refuse to say it's a bullcrap call. A better call IMO would have been a no-call.

That is not what happened. Perhaps the best perspective is at 1:42 in the video above. The initial contact is with the end of the foot, after which his hip is swung around.

Exactly! I think you mean his right foot, but that was my point too. He does seem to have a natural motion with his legs at first but then he breaks that and seeks contact with Ben with his right foot. Like I said before, it's at about 6 seconds in the video. I really believe if he doesn't do that move, it's probably a foul on Ben or a no-call.
