Kingsgurl said:Well, they better freaking LEARN to handle stuff like that. What, they can play good in easy games, games with no emotion? That's great, and certainly WAY better than earlier in the season, but they have to learn to play the 'emotonal' ones too. The reason I put it on the coaching staff in this case (aside from the rotation that made you scratch your head and go WTF?) is because they did not try to gain control over the emotions, or the players. Adelman treats these guys like they are all grown up and will make the right decisions, tonight, they disproved that theory. I'm sure he figures they will learn from it.

Bricklayer said:As a minor aside did do something real nice at the end of the third -- Brad thought he got fouled on the final play of the quarter, had bitter beer face on, and was well on his way to getting a technical and giving away a free point (which would have tied it). But Ron came over, stepped in between, and bodily pushed Brad halfway across the court to get him away from the ref. Been wiating for somebody to do that for three years now.
Unclebuck said:I just got back from the game. Adelman plays his starters way too many minutes. Does he do that in every close game. The Kings looked tired late in the game. If I were a Kings fan that would drive me crazy
Bricklayer said:Peja ( A or... F) -- depends how you look at it. At least now we know what the problem was in Sacto -- Peja had clearly left his balls buried in an Indiana cornfield somewhere. Tonight he played physically. On purpose even. Grabbed boards. Ventured into the paint without letting out a squeal. And used his size and strength advantage to work inside on layups and even a dunk or two. Not a huge game. But a well played well rounded one where he was more than just a shooter.

KingKong said:Didn't watch the game yet, but from the outside looking in, I say let's cut them some slack here. They've been on a tear lately and finaly came up short tonight. The Pacers seemed like the aggressors and there were some bad shot selections from our team. It happens. What was great about Kings of the past was that they were GREAT at responding from a loss. Can this new team respond? We shall see Sunday.

It's gotten to the point that he needs to have a way above average night on offense both shooting and passing if he's going to be a net positive for the team. But since the team has been winning no one's been on Bibby. Just look at the comments on this board, you point out Bibby's terrible defense during a win and people say it's "not the time" to point out his terrible defense. I hope the Kings' coaching staff doesn't have the same attitude.
But regardless of how Bibby played and has been playing for a while now, you're not going to win games when one of your players shoots 6-22 and the team shoots 39% overall. It's amazing, given how bad both offense and defense was, that the game was as close as it was.
Kev.in said:It's good they got this out of the way right now, because this is how it's going to be in the playoffs. Bonzi, Ron and Shareef aren't just going to be able to waltz into the paint for easy buckets. The defenders are going to get rough with them and they have to play smarter. Bibby isn't going to be able to take the gunslinger shots that he's been taking, because the opposing point guard is going to run it back at him when he misses. I expected Tinsley to eat Mike Bibby up. The Kings always have problems with those dribbling wizard type of point guards. If Garcia wasn't hurt, he probably could've put a stop to Tinsley (at least a little bit) because he's quicker and longer.
If the Kings learn from this game, it could turn out to be one of the best games of the year for them.
