Hall of Famer
I have been thinking the exact same thing the last few weeks. New Owners, New GM, New Coach and #1 pick in the draft. Maybe some trades for more draft picks. I got my eye 6'4 PG
He needs to change his last name!!!

Yes, everybody got healthy which meant that a lot of guys didn't get "their" minutes. Lots of selfish players on this team. They don't play hard and get very selfish with the basketball when they aren't playing as much as they think they should.
Why all the turnovers over the past two weeks? This team was humming with high assists and low turnovers, and then, wham, the TO virus hit. Any theories?
Bingo! Unfortunately, there are more selfish players on this team than there are unselfish.
lolYou should just come out and say it, lol. We know who you want to point the finger at.

Johnson ( D ) --almsot a give up D here. Very little while the game was on, not that brooks was going to let him have the ball anyway. I think had one layup at half. Jumper never was on, never grabbed a board. Late in the garbagetime got flatfooted on a little dunk attempt and got it swatted from behind. Nothing to see here. --Brick

Fredette (D ) -- Jimmer played 16 minutes and he did do a few things right. He stole the ball twice, and he played within the offense. Unfortunately, his shot just wasn't falling tonight, and if it had, he would have gotten a C. He had one assist on a nice bounce pass to IT on the break. He also had a bounce pass that didn't get to the target for a turnover. Most of his shots were open shots, so no excuses. It just wasn't his night. But then, its wasn't the Kings night. Brutal is the word that springs to mind. --Baja

Although I'd rather trade Brooks than IT, a MT/IT/Outlaw combo matches with Chandler/Mozgov/Stone.
I haven't watched all the Kings games lately, but those that I did see left an impression that Evans really downsized on forcing the issue and prefers passing out the ball to risk taking that can damage his stats.

I'm not asking the question because I know the answer. There probably isn't a simple explanation. Hence the question.
A small bit from an article by Jason Jones I found today http://www.sacbee.com/2013/01/28/5144876/smart-keeps-tinkering-with-kings.html
Evans has had trouble getting back into a flow, partly because he's not playing the 35-plus minutes he'd like.
"The rhythm for me is a little bit off," Evans said. "I know he wants to play everybody. Just sometimes it's frustrating trying to get in rhythm."
Guess that's as close as you'll see Reke go off on the coach.

From Reke that qualifies as a full broadside.
But I've said this 100 times before: it doesn't take a genius to figure out what Smart is doing wrong. It doesn't even take an NBA coach. It is blatantly obvious to everyone but the idiot in charge. We have THIRTEEN players on our roster who average double figure minutes. THIRTEEN. DeMarcus Cousins leads us in minutes a game at 31.9, and he's 72nd in the league in that stat. Tyreke is second at 30.0min, which is 91st in the league.
But you know, its working so well, So Smart is probably just more clever than everybody else.
FYI, for the past 13 games, the Kings have averaged playing 9.6 guys for 10 minutes or more; the opposition is at an average of 9.4 guys that play 10 minutes or more.
And for the past 13 games, the Kings have averaged playing 6.0 guys 20 minutes or more; the opposition is at 6.5 guys 20 minutes or more.

So I guess we should just excuse the fact that he played 13 players, all in the first quarter the other night. Come on Kingster! Even if he sticks with just 10 players a night, its not the same 10 players. No one on this team knows how many minutes they're going to play. I mean for gods sake, Thornton only played 10 minutes the other night, while Brooks played 27 minutes. I don't care about averages. Anyone that watches the games knows there's no rhyme or reason to what Smart is doing.
