Eh, that's cool and all, but I remember Cousins having a moment like that with Evans, after we brought the Thunder to Oklahoma City, and that relationship didn't end the greatest...

Cousins never gushed over Evans like he has Rondo. I doubt anyone ever accused Evans of being a genius on the court.

The relationship between Tyreke Evans and Demarcus Cousins is not comparable to the relationship between Rajon Rondo and Demarcus Cousins. For one thing, the two former UK Wildcats speak the same language (that of Coach Cal). For another, there is mutual respect between Cousins and Rondo, something that was never really developed between Evans and DMC.

DMC has made no secret that he wanted Rondo to come here, and Rondo has said as recently as last night that one of the reasons he chose to come to Sacramento was because he wanted to play on the same team as DMC.

You're entitled to your skepticism, but I'm not buying into ... or even kicking the tires before taking it for a test drive.

Think Rondo predated Coach Cal at Kentucky.

And Tyreke actually played for him at Memphis. So if any two guys were going to get all Coach Cal mooney eyed... ;)

Nitpick: When Rondo was enrolled at Kentucky, Calipari was still coaching at Memphis; he actually coached Derrick Rose and Tyreke Evans at Memphis in successive seasons, if you'll recall. In fact, there was a whole other coach between the coach that was there when Rondo was there (Tubby Smith) and Calipari, so they actually don't have that in common.

See my comment to Bricklayer above.

Forget about the first part of my response. The rest - the part about respect and DMC/Rondo truly wanting to play on the same team - stands.

I never questioned any of that; I was just saying that I've seen a picture that looked like that with Cousins and a guard before, and that it didn't work out as well as I was hoping it would.

The biggest thing for me is 1 turnover for Boogie only...he could of went on a turn over barrage after 2-12 shooting but kept taking good shots. If this team wants to keep winning though, you can't keep giving up 105+ every single night. Trill barely playing again, Acy delivered heart and hustle, got to give credit there.

I award the "unsung hero" of the game to Acy - I just watched the game a second time and his defense and hustle was a difference maker, in my opinion. If he was not hustling over to double team someone, he was getting his hands on the ball of his opponent. Although the box score only credits him with 2 steals, it seemed like he alone was responsible for at least half a dozen strips, takeaways, steals... (would seem he may have earned some minutes or at least a little more consideration for playing time in certain situations).

I agree. I read your post and decided to watch for myself. He could be a valuable 5-10 minute per game option if he continues to rotate on defense and run the floor with the same type of energy that he showed in this game. He looked like the tazmanian devil out there.

One of my favorite moments of any Kings game in which Acy plays is when he gets that one signature angry dunk. I feel incomplete without it.
