For a little over 2 1/2 hours, I stopped thinking about the things that I (still) don't like about the trade and clapped, screamed and cheered for the team that I still love.

::sigh:: I needed that.

I'm glad I watched the game because a) Brad's pick- made me laugh, then cheer, then feel bad for a minute that Devin might be hurt, then cheer and laugh together when Nellie got tossed.

b) Our guys didn't give up, even though their management and a lot of fans apparently have.

I don't know how to grade this team on an individual basis. Obviously they showed pride and that they're still all about winning. I just hope that Bibby being the main man now doesn't mean he's going to be worn out at the end of games like this.

I was encouraged by the good ball movement and the increased pace of the game (even my wife noticed!) resulting in easier scores many times. And even though the refs didn't cost us the game this time they should get an "F" for allowing Dallas to break down our zone by sandbagging a guy on the base line in the key for way beyond 3 seconds waiting for a pass for a layup. Several times I counted Daniels in the key for 7-8 seconds without clearing...and he's the guy who killed us...Dirk and Finley are going to get theirs but Daniels and Howard put them over the top.

Um, our ball movement pretty much sucked tonight -- this was not our offense out there for most of the night. We scored a lot of points, but this was one of our lesser assist nights of the season -- mostly hustle scores, one on one stuff.

Yeah, good scoring, not good ball movement. I think assists will be down for a while, while we learn to play without Webb. Like him or not (and I DO!) the heart of our team was taken out, so Adelman is going to have a lot of adjustments to make to get this team playing team ball again.

I was at the game and it was really odd. Didn't feel like a Kings Mavs game (intensity-wise) until around the time Miller laid-out Devin Harris. The crowd initially reacted pretty harsh but the people around me mostly shutup after seeing the replay in which Miller hardly moved at all. Still can't beleive Miller didn't get a flagrant or a T or something...I mean come on, it's Miller.

After that play, it felt a whole lot more like the normal atmosphere surrounding this game. The crowd got more into it and it looks like the players did too.

Thought the guys played hard but seemed like they were playing 4 on 5 in the fourth quarter. The zone had its moments, but certainly didn't help with the rebounding. Was amazed that Finley was guarding our bigs an awful lot and we didn't take advantage of it enough. Ostertag was almost as useless as Bradley was for the Mavs... Passing was overall pretty subpar for this team. At one point Daniels had more assists by himself than the entire Kings team that was on the floor. Lots of standing around and when people did make cuts, they usually didn't get the ball. Lots of one-on-one stuff that worked occasionally but was ultimately not going to get it done. Thought Cat made some particularly bad decisions in the 4th tonight, a couple of them worked out but for the most part he took too many quick and contested shots.

Like I said, the Mavs fans were not nearly as rude and obnoxious as they normally would be until the Miller incident...it's like they felt sorry for us. After the pick play, they started yelling a lot more. I heard a lot of "You've got no Webber, the Kings have no heart" type yelling behind me. Especially in the fourth when the lead just melted away. Had several fans ask me after the game what I thought about the trade (I had my Webber jersey on) and none of them could believe it either...they thought it was about the dumbest trade they had ever heard of. Anyways, that was pretty much how it felt at the arena. It was really about how I expected it to go. I thought we would compete but fall a little short and that is pretty much what happened.

I will say that it hit home that I do still like this team and will continue to support them despite the loss of my favorite player. Can't say who I will be rooting for on Saturday though...

It was so surreal not seeing Webber and I did catch myself a couple of times saying "thinking PUT WEBBER IN" and was saddened immediately when reality came back, but I think our boys did great. Hello? Only 3 off the bench and we scored 113 pts. It gives me hope.

From a mavs fan

Man, I thought the Kings played their hearts out. Bibby is insanely good. He single-handedly took over the game in the middle. Someone tell me why he's never made an all star game?

I at first thought the Webber trade was good, but then I heard on the radio how the Kings are closer to .500 with Webber on the floor than when he isn't. On the other hand, I think you got a bunch of scrubs for him.

As a side note, it looks like the Mavs will get Henderson back after the Bucks waive him, so it will be basically a straight up Calvin Booth for Keith Van Horn trade. Nice.

If you need to count on KVH to do anything in the playoffs I think your in trouble. He has never been very good and will not be much of a contributor. I'll give you KVH > Booth, but it shouldn't really affect your team.

i don't think they are counting on KVH to make a lot of noise...but he'll be a great compliment to the guys they already got

Marquis Daniels had a hell of a game...and what was it like his 2nd game back from injury...wow...good for him...don't really like him...but good for him

iheartbrad, you have to remember, KVH makes 14 million and is considered crap, yet Webber makes 17........how are they in a better situation? they are stuck with an overpriced player who doesn't perform. they did this last year if you don't remember, they picked up Antoine Walker who is just about as good if not better than KVH, where did it get him. i'm not trying to be nasty, but if your going to come here and boast that you got KVH, he is a crappy walker.

Calvin Booth is no prize, but that deal...I mean, does Don Nelson NEVER learn? One overpaid shooting softie after another. He has an endless appetite for them.

I give the team grade and effort: A+

The players did what I wanted them to. And that was to try their best. :) So I'm proud of the guys for that. They didn't just wimp out, got emotional about the trade on court and thought there's no way to win. Instead, they hussle, play with lots of energy, were aggressive (with to the FT line a lot) and play like no matter who they have in the lineup, they can still beat any team in the NBA. Like I keep saying, I really trust these guys and know they'll always step up.

I thought the Kings have a great chance to win being shorthanded and all (but so was the Mavs). Silly turnovers and missing key shots (Bibby's 2 3-pointers and Brad missing some jumpers and they were pretty open too) made us lost. Oh, and allowing Mavs to get 2nd chances points on a few occasion. But I believe that as long as the team play with this kind of effort each night and improve on those areas (which they can), that'll be a winnable, great and fun team to watch.

GO KINGS!!!

But, don't you love it? I mean Cuban is posterchild for dot-com millioners out of control. Except that he is not calling it all-in on 7-2 off-suite, before the flop he is actually running an NBA franchise.
