Each team had 8 players with double figure scoring. I don't ever recall seeing that before:eek:

Rondo had 11 points and 11 assists in 28 minutes:D

I have been calling for Boogie to play this way all season.... 12 shots, 20 points, 5 assists/ 3 TOs....it is a beautiful thing when he defers more, shoots less and trusts his teammates....

On another topic I think Kings fans on this board and elsewhere are underrating Rondo....I am in favor of re-signing this guy, tweaking our wing positions by moving Rudy/Ben/Marco and Koufos.....

This core can win with complementary additions:

- Willie
- Boogie
- Darren
- Rondo
- Omri

Two things we know now that we didn't know to start the season. One, Willie is a better offensive player than we thought and will make a leap in year two and two Rondo is a better offensive player than we thought with fairly reliable outside shot. I don't like his TS% or inability to get to the free throw line but his RPG and 45% on FGs and 35% on threes and league leading in assists is NOTHING to sneeze at!

His defensive deficiencies are somewhat overblown because of the par excellence at that PG position....AND his shortcoming on that end of the floor will be masked when we add better defensive wings. I think too his effort will pick-up when the games mean more....

Its time for Boogie to shut it down and get his double foot tendonitis taken care of so we secure our 7th seed in the lottery.....Buddy Hield or Chris Dunn then becomes a prized addition or trade asset along with half of the roster outside the aforementioned core.

There's NO reason with Ben/Rudy/Marco/Koufos and the 7th pick in the draft as trade bait deficiencies cannot be addressed and resolved through swift maneuvering by our GM if he acts prudently...whether he does or not is the question. I personally have my doubts.

The problem with changing topics in a thread is that good discussion sometimes gets totally lost.

Our board is set up in a manner to try and correct this by utilizing the thread format. I'd suggest you consider taking the majority of this post and using it to start a different thread, or possibly add it to one of the several threads we already have about looking to the future.

Whatever.....there is NO activity in these threads lately. I think you'd be a little more receptive to any substantive comment. Delete the comment if you don't like it. I am done posting here for a while....maybe permanently. Its just not very friendly site.

Seriously? Have some thicker skin and stop being a crybaby. She simply made a suggestion to you -- and provided you with solid reasoning why. Sheesh.

Having said that, I'll comment on your topic change by saying that I agree that Rondo is underrated. I'm ok with keeping him --- if they can -- because I think he's forming a nice offensive bond with WCS as he's already done with Boogie. And his jump shot has been decent enough to keep teams honest. He just needs to put out more effort on defense.

I didn't say I didn't like it. I said you would probably get more traffic if it weren't in the grade thread.

You write good notes. At the same time, I don't think the suggestion ws meant to be demeaning.

If he really is one of the "great" ones...this is the way to go about it. Put the team on his shoulder when necessary, but also move the ball and make your teammates better rather than shooting it every time.

Trill has surprised me with some of his moves, this is great to see. He has nice form on his jump shot so I have no doubt with lots of repetition, he will have that shot down pat sooner rather than later.

I think with less pace comes more effort on the defensive end of the ball because you're not exerting so much energy trying to run 100 miles an hour up and down the court.

I think most PG's who have a lob target like WCS could easily form a good bond with him, I really hope people don't get caught up in really judging the players in these last 10 games cause the reality is while the wins over Dallas/Suns were great fun these are completely pressure free meaningless games unless your someone like Seth Curry/Acy/James Anderson/Moreland (if he plays) auditioning for a future gig on this or another team. I love the Kings but the reality is when the season was there to be won and all our competitors were ravaged by injury the team choked (with great help from Karl). Rondo to me over the course of the year was great for fantasy NBA but he hurt us probably more than he helped in a lot of games.

Rudy Gay/Rondo/Bellenlli just came up small time after time when we needed them the most and the last 10 won't change that even if we win 10 in a row, I just can't take these games seriously other than watching WCS develop and seeing who is going to play there way into another contract.

Disagree with the first part, totally agree with the second part.

It's not easy to consistently throw the lob pass like Rondo does. There are a lot of factors to it. Rondo happens to be one of the very best at it. Even so, you weren't seeing the same success earlier in the season. Their timing and familiarity with one another has improved, as has Willie's PT :)

As for the second part, we've seen the likes of Tony Massenburg and Ike Diogu light things up the last several games of a season. So I totally agree with your point on that. Still, it is still better to see the likes of WCS, Ben McClemore and others play well during the dog days than not.
