IT is struggling in January, shooting only 37.1% thus far. What's the reason?

No, he has quite obviously been scruffing out there. In the last 5 games only once has he been above 40%, and I think that one was a bad half/good half split.

29 of his last 79 over the last 5 games .367.

Don't know about that, but I do know I didn't find a thing wrong with the poll. Is the 37.1% figure wrong? If not, then the poll is just as relevant as any other.

I'm not sure about your biased tendencies but there are times when I wonder if you're related to IT...or his agent.

I agree. Jimmer is becoming that role of instant offense off the bench that we want to move IT back into. Now we have that spark to help the bench so we should just ride it out.

Just gets annoying every time jimmer score 6 pts or more this comes up. I want him to be successful and I think he found a role where he can do that. But when the post pop up about him starting after every good game I'd almost rather he get a DNP than to hear the nonsense. Could you imagine if ppl reacted this way every time bobby Jackson had a good game. It gets old and its been 2 1/2 years of old.
 
I really think Malone screwed up Ben's first year. If he had brought him along slowly, allowing him to play limited minutes against 2nd unit players, he wouldn't have completely lost his confidence. Now Ben looks worse than at any time this season, and his shooting percentage is awful. He just looks like a guy who has no confidence. And Marcus? He should feel embarrassed for his play this season.
 
So, assuming he's available and hasn't gone postal lately, I'm ready to sign Terrance Williams and stick him in at the BG spot. He's an excellent defender, which is what we need more than anything from that position.

Its hard to blame that on Malone. Remember that was exactly Malone's plan, and then Thornton came out and laid a stinky egg to start the season. Little did we know that was going to be the GOOD stretch of SG play for us. Blech.

Not sure if it matters anyway. if we go ahead with CUz/Gay/It we don't need a SG anyway, Ben included. We'll just need a designated defender at that spot. Sefalosha lite.

Offense ain't the problem in the starting five. Defense is. Jimmer doesn't do anything to help solve that playing at the 2.

Yeah this is a good point. I personally don't think Jimmer ever starts on this team at any position, although I would love to see it. (at least not with IT at point).
1) I think Malone would probably still say Jimmer isn't a PG. He's playing him out of necessity, but would rather play him at the 2.
2) IT and Jimmer as the backcourt probably scares the crap out of Malone from a defensive standpoint.

Honestly? I think you're over-reacting. Jimmer has been dumped on ROYALLY around here, and his fans have suffered a lot. He's finally showing glimpses of what they have hoped for all this time. I think we can cut them a little slack.

IT and Jimmer playing in the backcourt scares the crap out of me defensively.

At some point, the front office is going to have to find a couple of defensive roleplayers, a big one in the front court and a slightly less big one in the backcourt. Maybe Ben grows into that (early returns aren't great), but I'm pretty sure that Jimmer is done growing, at least physically.

I have not ONCE dumped on jimmer this entire time. Don't pin that strawman on me. I said he is very successful in his current role. I am trying to disarm the ones advocating to change the role jimmer is being successful in.

Either way, this is just silly. Jimmer had a good game, his fans are happy about it. Not sure why that needs you to "disarm" them.
 
How good can Cousins be? He chips in 24/14/6 and I ridiculously think to myself...'meh. average game.'

Obviously NOT an average game for so many players. And yet I want more. Madness.

What can I realistically expect?

It's called dialog. Someone quotes you they expect a response. It how it works much like you have responded each time I have quoted you. Do you feel you are stoking a fire or just running a course of dialog? Sometimes conversation gets misconstrued as adversarial. Just voicing opinion I haven't personally attacked anybody or bashed anybody. Not sure why I'm getting the ridicule. I am positive I'm not alone in my sentiment
