you know why they all suck?

and the craziest part about the whole situation is that he isnt making the team worse... the team is... casspi has pretty much sucked this entire month, so has thompson, hawes and greene... sergio hasnt really played since martin has been back so he gets a pass... its been horrible coaching the entire time leading up to martin's return and even worse coaching with him back in the starting lineup. we need a coach that knows how to handle a bckcourt like this. i dont think he knows how. before martin came back he tried forcing the tyreke as a pg issue by starting greene and casspi. it worked at home against sub .500 teams that hadnt played us before and didnt know how good evans was.

now its no longer a surprise, they all know what he can and cant do and theyve made the adjustments. i bet that we will lose to the nets the next time we play them unless thompson or hawes have a career night.

luckily for us we play denver again on february 1st... they are the only team that we have beaten twice... oh crap i just jinxed us....
they hardly ever pass now the 100p, and every body suck only because they don't pass the ball any more.
if you got two players who throw the ball more then 50% of the time, and doesn't pass it to no one, and the other guys gets frustrated, you get two things, first the offence gets stuck and from one of the best offensive teams in the league you get a team that passed the 100 points just once since KMart came back.
the other thing is that guys like Haws and Casspi who started this month with 22 points a game! and was two weeks ago selected by some of the biggest sport writers as the best or seconed best rookie of the year so far, look like ****,latly, they don't get the ball, and when they get it they go one on one because they "feel so lost" like Casspi said.
PW is doing all the mistakes is possible to do right now,you don't let a 1-7 player play for 40 minutes!
come on wake up coach.
if you'll get Greene,Casspi,Haws Udrich and JT involved again in the offence you will get the exciting team from a month ago, and not the poor selfish team that you have now.
you will get a happy and smiling players and not frustrated ones.
i blame the coach not any one else for the situation right now, because this team has a big potencial with Greene,Evans,Casspi and JT, all of them are great players, young and they are the future of this club.

This has been the worst game for the Kings this year.

I think that Westphal wanted Martin to try and be more of a facilitator, else he wouldn't have left him out on the court for over 40 minutes. I also don't think that Kevin has a lot of confidence in his shot (which is strange to say). He's still coming off of the injury, so if he's not feeling it, he might have taken the call to facilitate and gone way over-board. He had JJ Redick on him tonight, so if he was in an aggressive mindframe he had a very large advantage to get some points.

Also, I don't know if the back-to-back has anything to do with it, but Donte and Casspi both played under 20 minutes. You'd think that in a debacle of a game such as this one they'd have each had the opportunity for 30+.
Considering that both Evans and Martin had 35+ minutes tonight, I just don't exactly understand what's going on.

I will say that Donte's defense today was abysmal. (After he finally got in after his first stint.) There were quite a few times where he could have provided some weak-side help, but instead was caught just watching. If that had anything to do with his lack of minutes, than that's just fine with me. He's got to be defensively focused all the time in order to grow into the impact player he could become. I will say that Evan's defense, especially in the 4th quarter wasn't looking good either.

Ultimately, I just don't think that this team feels it can win games any more. They took those crushing losses with their fantastic play, and then their play slipped, and now they can't seem to find that rhythm and intensity which they had earlier in the season.

I don't see any chance of beating the Heat. We don't ever seem to be able to actually pull out a victory against DWade, and after this road-trip I just don't think they have anything left in them.

I will be happy once the road-trip is over. I think they all need to just have some time at home to lick their wounds and try to figure out how to play cohesively again.

Our team just needs some confidence and stability, neither of which we are getting from the players or the coaching staff. No offense to Omri fans, but since kevin's return he has just looked lost out there. The TOs, missing wide open shots that everyone expected him to make in December. That's the problem with super competitive guys sometimes - they start to think too much and try too hard whenever they're in a slump. Same goes with JT. The teamwork between everyone seems to ahve gone down the drain and everybody just looks like they're out there to pad their stats.

Well, one thing is certain. You cant really blame the loss on Hawes! He just wasn't in long enough to contribute to this stinker! Hawes just does NOT match up with Howard at all. No use running him out there to be posterized again and again by Howard. Hawes isn't strong enough nor quick enough to even slow Howard down. Hawes Did manage to score a very unusual line:

5 Rebounds, 2 fouls, 2 turnovers, 1 shot that got blocked, and 8 points...for a 7'1" , 245 Pound Center!

PW was wise to keep him on the bench. We need to build Hawes up not tear him down. There was no use putting Hawes into the game at all really.

They spread the Howard defense around an did not allow any one person to get too embarrassed. Dwight Howard was totally on cruise control all night with 19 and 15 boards, It could have been much worse but the Magic called off the Dogs early on this one thank goodness. Kings are just not in the same league as the Magic. I mean technically they ARE in the NBA, but in reality there is No comparison. The Kings are a long way away from even being competitive with a Championship Caliber team like the Magic. The Kings need more than just a competative big to keep from being blown out by this team. But it is games like this that are hard to take.

Grades are unnecessary in this bloodbath. I watched the entire game and at no time did I ever feel like the Kings were in this game or had any chance of pulling off a miracle upset. The Kings could have had all 5 people on the floor covering Howard 5 on 1 and the Score would have been about the same. In fact the final score was deceptively close because in garbage time (that started right after the half) the Kings rallied to within 30. A 26 point final score does not reflect how one sided this game really was  An I a sadist or a fool for watching the whole game???

Tonights game is a perfect example though for why the Kings need to make a trade for a legit big man in the center. The Kings just have NO INSIDE PRESENCE AT ALL!! If I were Hawes, I would have hides out around the three point line and only ask for permission from Mr Howard to enter his lane to cross through. The Paint totally belonged to the the Magic.

I had more belief in the Taco Bell drive thru diet commercial than I did the Kings having a chance to come back.

And Speaking of commercials, has anyone else totally memorized every stinking commercial they play durring the Kings games? I mean not just every commercial. but the order in which they play them. I want to smack the Round Table Pizza Whisperer Guy in the head with the Mr Rodgers Trolly! For those of us not old enough to remember Mr Rodgers:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mr._Rodgers_Neighborhood

I have become so annoyed at the commercials and their repetative nature that I have decided to boycott all of the businesses advertised in those commercials. Maybe if we all do it they will change the darn commercials once in a while! I can only take the "Whisperer" saying that lightly whispered "Hey" to the Hawaiian Pizza at the end of the commercial so many times. I want to call and order like 17, 776 personal pizza's and have them delivered to Slamson to hand out to the Crowd on home games and charge the bill to the "Pizza Whisperer.....

--------------------

Anyway the Feb 19th trade deadline is coming up on us fast, should get a thread started with a poll about WHO the Kings can trade for to Plug the Gaping 7' Hole in the center of our defense. Any Ideas for contestants?? The players listed either have to be starters, Have been starters in the recent past, or have the upside to have the makings of a decent starter. No offensive skills needed, just players that can defend the center position at the NBA level need apply.

Kings play inexcuseable

Players need to quit crying and start playing. Everyones been given opportunities and Westphaul plays whoever deserves to be on the court so there is NO excuse for them to not play competively. Kings need to get back to playing fortyeight minutes of competitive basketball win or lose.
