You seem to be watching a diff game than everyone else.
It hard to take this any other way than an insult. A lot people around here have a hard time being objective.
Any claim that this team is deep is misguided and can only be the conclusion of someone who only watches the kings nightly and not around the league. If you watch around the league, you'd conclude pretty quick our 5- 12 guys are bottom of the league talent wise, or at least playing down to that level. Or just look at a stat sheet. Take IT off the bench, it's prob the worst or darn near it. That's why we are 5-13 and not 13-5 despite have two of the top ten PER players in the league. Usually that means you are a contender. Durant/Westbrook, Kobe/shaq, Lebron/wade. Yet somehow cousins/IT isn't winning games.
Our next best PER guy is outlaw. Poor salmons is last on the team (other than ndiaye) and arguably the worst player getting regular minutes in the nba the last couple seasons. The avg player has a per of 15. Only outlaw is over 15 after IT/cousins. PER isn't perfect, but that seems to indicate we have only two above average players playing regular minutes. And some regulars getting mins that are significantly below average.
Enter Johnny Salmons (PER of 8.56). Stats pretty clearly show outlaw is better than salmons. Not sure why the worst one is playing. Worst on the team! among players playing 25 mpg or more (salmons at 24.7 mpg) , only Jared Dudley and tayshaun prince are worse than salmons in the west.
GV is at 14.6. His ineptness has been slightly overstated I think, at least from a statistical standpoint. I may be a lone wolf in this opinion, but that's why I think GV and IT should play together, in small doses. As long as we have both, why not? They are both among our top 5 players. Some nights it'll make more sense than others obviously.
To quote some wise soul around here, "Something about a pot, and a kettle" in regards to objectivity. Claiming this team isn't cousins and IT and a bunch of scrubs (two with strong potential in Williams and Ben) is ignoring a reality that is plainly evident to most observers.
