I was just looking at the shot chart for the game, and Omri held Kobe to 3-12 in the 2nd half, and 2-10 in the 4th. Others of course played a part, but Omri deserves most of the credit.

This month for Cousins..
On 28mpg Cousins is averaging 16.7ppg 7.5rpg 2.2apg 1.0spg 1.1bpg 45%fg
Cousins 35mpg averages are 21ppg 9.4rpg 2.8apg ... Get Cousins MORE MINUTES! There are some games where he is not in foul trouble where he should be in the game imo.
I could see Cousins averaging 25ppg 12rpg 3apg and a block in a couple years easy.

the stat you are missing there is fouls -- there is generally a reason he is not playing more minutes a night. He's his own worst enemy. if he could jsut eliminate that he would be right there as productive a center as there is in the league outside of Dwight.
I get thrilled by the little things, and watching Bynum trying to back Cousins down in the paint, and not being able to move him was almost orgasmic. With visions of Spencer Hawes still roaming around the nooks and cranny's of my brain, I found myself shouting Yes! Yes! at my TV last night. Not only was Cousins outstanding on offense, but he played excellent defense, and made the self proclaimed next best center in basketball eat his own words.
I will bask in the sunshine of the victory until tonight, when god's flashlight of reality returns.
Actually, Specer's best games in a Kings uniform were against the Lakers.
This game shows the potential of Demarcus Cousins and this team. Cousins could be scary next year after he's had one go around the league. Add an athletic wing player that can shoot and defend, and this team can play with anyone next year.
Unfortunately though, we relied on Samuel Dalembert to hit several fadeaway jumpshots for us to win. It's a great win, but if we really want to be good we cannot rely on friggin Sammy "D" Dalembert to carry us offensively, be it for 5 minutes or a whole quarter. The Spurs wouldn't have been as good as they were if they were giving the ball to Bruce Bowen and asking him to create his own shot. Also, I liked that Cousins played really well, but I don't like that it had to come from outside shots, while a lot of his inside attempts got blocked. The kid needs to shed some fat and be a bit more explosive/strong finishing around the rim.
Still, it's really really really awesome that we won. Sorry for having to nitpick.
I'm sorry, but I don't buy that.
We didn't rely on Dally, but rather fed an extremely hot player.
You see it in the Finals all the time. There is always that one complementary player that makes some big shots in the end to seal the victory (ala Artest last year, Sean Elliot in 1999, Steve Kerr in 1997, Fisher in some many games, etc.)
