Cwebb has grown and matured a lot during his time and since his time with the Kings. Now he is really becoming a nice well rounded person thats more than just about himself. Good times.

BTW, speaking of boos, I heard a lot of them in the background for most of the players who were introduced at the ceremony. I think there might have been plenty of Laker fans in attendance.

I'm not sure where you were sitting, but the only boos I heard were for the Maloofs.....

Alright, my computer broke so I will do my best to make visits.

The reffing was horrid last night. Deron got two continuations that were charges on the other end so thats two five-point swings there.

But Natt lost us this game. Its safe to say that 25 other coaches in the league would have kept a 13 point lead with inspired players. Natt is not one.

Congrats Webb. You are my all-time favorite King (Doug is a close second) and one of my top-five all time favorite athletes.

I've got to say something about the charging foul on Thompson near the end of the game. The rules say the defensive player has to be set before the offensive player picks up his dribble. Korver wasn't set. I watched that play at least four times in slowmo, and the dude just wasn't set. At worst, it should have been a no call.

I usually don't complain about the ref's because its pointless. However, last night would have been a good night for the ref's to have let the guys just play.

JT is the victim of at least 2 horrible calls a game. I think it's a combination of his style of play and the fact that he's getting the rookie treatment.

Dude is going to be beastly when he's not stuck playing with foul trouble every game. His block #'s might even go up too haha

But when you boo somebody, in a setting like that to boot, all that is is "**** you". Only in this case you don't have the power to **** these guys over, but they absolutely have the power to **** over you and everyone else on this board by taking their toy elsewhere.

what's the point? that ship sailed a long time ago, they ****ed this fanbase over 3-4 years ago when they tried to "rebuild on the fly" and thought that they (the maloof ownership) knew more about basketball than the men they hired to run the operations.

i get that the kings being in sacramento is something very meaningful and dear to the local fans. but i can't understand the logic of "we sort of hate the owners these days, they've done lots of d*ck things lately to screw over this team, but they've got leverage over us, so i'm just going to have s***-eating grins on our faces and pretend that we like them." if they view this franchise as their personal toy and not something more valuable to the sacramento community, then what's the point of treating them with class?

for the record, i do think booing at cwebb's ceremony was a little classless, but not the booing itself. these are the same guys who conveniently didn't show up at adelman's first game back with the rockets. owners act classless, they get classless. ::shrug::

I wonder why the hell Spencer was benched for most of the 2nd half until like the last 2.30 minutes and t played with this small line-up with beno being invisible out there

I was at the game and from what I saw Hawes was being owned big time by Okur. IMO Okur won the game for the Jazz last night.

Yeah I saw the same thing, at one point he scored 8 in a row for the Jazz.

I don't remember seeing Brad last night, I know he will be out until sometime after allstar break. I would think he would be there to see some of his old teammates and Webb's jersey retirement.

If they were responsible for what we think they were, then they showed poor judgment, but you make it sound as if they acted maliciously or something. They were just boneheaded, and can't be any happier with the results than we are. Do you think they like losing $500K a week in ticket sales, and watching their team suck?

I'm sure they're regretting their mistakes, even if no fans rub their noses in it.

I think the Maloofs would be the first to admit things haven't gone our way recently. But to tell you the truth, that gets me excited about what they would be willing to do in the near future. The Maloofs want to win, and they are willing to pay. Have they made poor decisions? Of course. but I trully believe more than the majority of owners in the league they are willing to pay to for it. Chances are we will sign a big time free agent within the next year and a half, and the Maloofs won't hesitate spend the money needed. In 3-4 years we will look back at this period and realize it is just part of the rollercoaster ride every orgamization goes through. The Maloofs have made bad decisions, but they are not stupid, and I would rather have them as owners compared to 95% of the owners in the league.

true, for the most part. i do think though that everything that went down with rick was malicious at worse, and disrespectful at best.

In all honesty, we do not know everything that went down. We're truly on the outside, attempting to look in...

The real point isn't what may have happened in the past, IMHO. It was CHRIS WEBBER'S NIGHT and simply very poor form for anyone to try and turn it into anything else. It really is that simple. The people who booed were insulting Webber by taking focus away from him even for a moment. Period.
