Couldn't we also say Kevin's return had an impact on these players as well to cause a drop in points, minutes, play, whatever?

I can't believe this season turned into last season. With the way the Kings started off, they could've been flirting with .500 and had one of the most amazing turnarounds in NBA history.

I blame Hawes. :p

I blame jim ayen... he looks creepy. he brought mike dunleavy's bad juju to us ;)

Mr. Inconsistent's inconsistency is directly tied to Kevin's return. Not only was his role dramatically reduced, but he was clearly back to last year's passive give it to Kevin mode after Kevin's return. Teh early part of January his numbers were still staying at the same level. The last 10 games (Kevin has been back for 9) he's averaging 8.9pts on .416 shooting.
I only count 8 games, (6 game road trip, 1 home to GS and the Utah game). If you compare those 8 games to the previous games:

Record FG% 3% A/T ratio
8 games w/Kevin 1-7 40.68% 28.57% 2.25
8 games wo/Kevin 2-6 44.63% 27.78% 2.32

I think its safe to say Beno's slide started before Kevin. It's also odd that playing alongside Kevin would cause such issues Beno since they played the last two years together.

I blame going from the 27th hardest schedule (13-14) to the 10th hardest schedule (16-29).

Doesn't remotely explian it. We played WELL against the hard part of the schedule -- 10th hardst my ***. Just before Kevin came back we played THE hardest 10 game stretch in the league. We couldn't pull out the wins, but we were right there slugging it out toe to toe with the best in the league.

THEN we died.
