Brandon Wright did not look as good in Memphis as he did later in Dallas - different style of play and different rosters. So WCS, who doesn't have a complete offensive game, could really use some garbage time and soft opponents - he did try couple of moves in Phoenix, from what I remember. When he starts making one step drives from 10 feet out with path to the basket somewhat open, when jumper from 15 feet gets to high-30%, he'll have options, and won't look useless. He'll also learn to use the glass. Despite being age of a senior, when drafted, he had basketball experience of a sophomore at best - just doesn't have the poise or know all the little things. Give him time!

P.S. Having Rondo and Cousins next to him helped cover a lot of his holes, plus league now knows, what he can or cannot do.

That's cause he was injured and I think you meant to say a year earlier in Dallas, Wright has basically been injured the majority of his tenure in Memphis, Ed Davis did not look good in Memphis (under Hollins) who is somewhat similar to WCS although way tougher/better rebounder.

Cousins and Kofous got worked over by Howard, Millsap and Muscala. Cousins' shot was broken and he didn't seem too interested in playing bully ball last night. That was basically the ball game right there. Even though the Hawks scored 106, I still felt like the actual defense was pretty decent. It was just the defensive rebounding that was bad. Which was odd to see with Cousins out there.

Hoping we can win in Orlando and Milwaukee. If they can go 2-3 on this road trip, it'll be a success IMO. When they get home they'll have the Pelicans and Lakers to deal with so hopefully we will be back up over .500 at that point.

He needs a motor IMO, which not only makes his future dubious but makes his presence tough to support. It's a different animal from someone like Ben, who at least put in work. WCS can't rebound at all and isn't a strong paint presence either, and his lack of motor makes him prone to plays where he's a half step behind (fouls/turnovers)

I don't think, it's motor. To me it looks like he often takes just a bit extra time to figure out, where he should go/what to do.

We are one low level PF starter away from being a darn good team. Gibson, P. Patterson, A. Johnson, etc. would look really good right about now.

EDIT: Just so happens all three are FAs next year (Gibson - 32, A. Johnson - 30, & P. Patterson - 28).
Does not even have to be a starting PF just one that can catch and finish around the rim and has decent size/athletic ability also the way Gibson has started the season and the fact he's a two way player would not call him low level starter at all. Trevor Booker is only making 1 million more than Tolliver and he would have provided insane Reggie Evans like energy/toughness with elite athletic ability.

Maybe "low level" is the wrong phrase. More like "role playing."
