I'm not at all surprised to hear this. While watching the game, it was totally obvious to me that Karl was intentionally getting the technical. I honestly don't even think he was that emotional or upset and he may have not even disagreed with the initial call. It took a couple of possessions before that particular official was running by him when he got the T. Then you could see that his assistants were going to get him to make sure he didn't get tossed but he gave them the "I'm okay." After that, he pretty much moved on and didn't say much to the refs.

This is what it looks like when he really disagrees with an official. "Gets his money's worth". Wilson Chandler got in the way....and Andre Miller strolls by, amused, in the background. LOL!

That's what real basketball is to me and that's how the NBA should allow players to play, seriously that compared to the Clippers falling down on jumpshots.........I loved Z-Bo getting in Cousins face and Cuz coming back in the 4th (as well as not flopping on the muay thai elbows), the team for the first team actually showed some balls Casspi, Ben, Dre, Ray and JT all chipped in , Rudy had a monster game.
This paragraph cuts to the heart of why I was so bent out of shape behind Malone's firing. We have a physical team; we don't have an uptempo team, we have a physical team. D'Alessandro thought that he built a team that could win playing an uptempo style, and he was wrong.

Now, maybe in the offseason, he'll reconfigure the team again to actually be an uptempo team, and I trust that Karl will be able to make it work. But, in the meantime, and in between time, we're a physical team. And Malone figured that out before D'Alessandro did, and he had the team playing a style that is more agreeable to their abilities. Now, Karl is doing the same thing, and the team appears to be responding positively.

Unfortunately, he's been brought in at a tough part of the schedule, and it's not likely to result in many more wins, but at least the team is fun to watch again.

The only two times you have been upset with him were the Sean Elliot thing (where I wouldn't have been upset if he chokeslammed that smug tool if it meant I never had to listen to him again)....and last night chair kicking incident??

What? You have a soft spot for chairs? :p
Well rumor is Clint Eastwood is a personal friend of the chair and plans to cast him in his next movie.;)

I'm probably in the minority of fans who actually want a team that will beat you up most nights, especially if we need to play that way in order to advance in the playoffs. There were no easy baskets to be had, and I loved the conversation between ZBo and Cousins (Not sure who else caught it):

"You fouled me man"

Style is for sucks.

Now, VF21 made a good point that Karl may be the coach who can mix up styles when necessary, but if the FO removes the players capable of mixing it up, well, then that becomes more challenging.

Maybe we should try beating up the Warriors instead of trying to run with them, and the FO might get it.

It is kind of maddening. We have the makings of a bruiser team, one that could potentially go deep in the playoffs, a style that historically pushes teams deep into the playoffs, and yet the ijits in our FO still insist on the bogus pace flimflam that historically gets you a 2nd round exit at best.

Ah well.

I think a team like the Detroit Bad Boys would be great. But many of todays rules are a direct result of the tough play of that era. Detroit literally pummeled a youngish Jordan and Pippen back in the day. The rules changed and Jordan and Pippen hit the weight room.

That said I think teams need to test the toughness of the Warriors within the current rules. In the west the Clips and the Blazers could bang on the Warriors a little. The Kings certainly can down low with the Bigs, not so much on the Guard line. Memphis is the real threat to the W's. The addition of Jeff Green really helps make a very good team better. The Kings were lucky to catch the Grizz on the 3rd game in 4 nights:) Still the Kings kicked their butts:)

Rudy Gay had a real solid night. Great to see. I think Gay is going to like his new HC. Karl will certainly help Gay improve his game as with everyone else. Solid win for the Kings against a very good and physically strong team. On to the next one! GO KINGS!

This was one of the more funner games to watch from beginning to end, and there hasn't been many worth enjoying. I absolutely loved the physicality, if we can become a tough and defensive minded team I will gladly take that, why try to emulate something your not?
