Sessions has the longest leash for a pro athlete I have ever seen. After this the coach surely has to put him on the end of the bench right? My god Nik couldn't do worse playing the point
Session's leash is longer than the leash on the dog in the Chevron commercial. It would seem they are bound and determined to get Sessions going to the detriment of the team. At some point don't you have to go to Ray McCallum? RayMac looked very good at the end of the season last year. I think he looked pretty good in summer league. It looks like he is working hard and improving his game. He's young, plays very good perimeter defense. They don't send him down to Reno and they hardly play him. It is a huge mystery. To me at some point they need to let Sessions have some bench time and maybe play his way back onto the second unit. Give RayMac some run and see what he can do. He seems to be a spark off the bench every time he comes in. Sure he makes the occasional boneheaded play or turnover, but he is a very young player who has not gotten a lot of playing time. Sessions is making way too many boneheaded plays, doesn't make anyone around him better, and always seems to be trying to score the ball. He doesn't get the team into a play or set up any of his teammates for baskets. At what point does Malone cut bait here? Is RayMac doing something wrong in practice? Is he in the doghouse for something? Or are Malone and PDA trying to show that they were right somehow by allowing Sessions to play and hope he snaps out of his poor playing efforts? I dont think Sessions is going to snap out. I think his game has degenerated into what it is.
I hope Ray Mac gets more playing time ASAP !
