I just had to point out that John Barry (working the game for ESPN) stated that K9 is the "ultimate hustle guy" when he grabbed the big OREB with about 1:20 to go in the game (followed by Kmart's big 3).

That's right - it seems that JB is a K9 apologist!

While Cisco and Salmons have somewhat similar games and can cover 1-3 positions. Cisco is a great shoot blocker and is more athletic than Salmons. He also has a better range and can hit the 3 ball with some regularity. Salmons does the stuff that might not make the stats and he does it being totally cool about it knowing his role. I like him and wonder how he does it without being more athletic, but he does the job just not flashy. His big contract is flashy though I must say. :p

I'm all for starting SAR the rest of the season and having SAR back up K9 and give Brad big minutes too, sort of a different way of looking at it. I would not break up this streak we have going, even though it sucks to lose your starting job when you are hurt, SAR lost his to K9 and Brad should lose his to SAR if SAR and K9 continue to play so good together. We are missing Brad though, we are missing a backup 4 & 5 for sure. While Williamson is doing better, we still need a backup 4 and definately a 5. If SAR continues to start then Brad can back him up, while SAR has the utility of subbing in for K9 at the 4 and Brad at the 5, I don't think it's fair to have him be forced back into this role, Brad needs to prove he deserves to start again. Which I think he will do after a little while, at any rate we are 1-2 7 footers away from what we need. I envy the teams like Dallas that have the trio of 7 footers they keep bringing in off the bench. Diop, Dampier, and DJ is a great rotation. I really wish we could have Dampier, him and Muss have a good past.
You can go ahead and bookmark this reply: Miller will start when he is healthy. Let's not get all out of sorts because a handful of games have been played well without him.

As far as Corliss, somebody else said it better, let me see here, okay, here it is:
Well, to be fair, Corliss had ONE good game.

Salmons is a producer. He isn't overpaid. He's smart and he can distribute.

Guys like that are special because they make your offense efficient. Kmart is a lot more deadly with a guy like Salmons on the court who will look for him.

GP knew what he was doing.

There are five of us online right now, and we can read the threads just fine. It's not necessary for you to "tattle" on each other.

Brick i think you were to generous to Kevin. I love what he is doing. But alot has been said about our stagnant offense tonight and Kevin was not moving tonight like he has been. He wasn't getting out on breaks as usual or slashing to basket. I think that he fell in love with the 3 tonight and so that is where he stood for most of the time and it showed in the final score. He don't need to become that type of player for us.

I see your point but this guy is proving himself to be clutch.

Admittedly Kevin's a tough grade, not least of which because I normally try to factor in grading people according to their own abilities, and where/how Kevin falls is still an open question. Tonight is not an A game for a Ray Allen for instance. But then again, Kevin is not Ray. At some point I will have to adjust things to get him more centered where an average game is landing him B/B- or so. Just as soon as I decide what an average gamne is for him. ;)

In any case, he was in the Bs until those clutch points in the last couple oif minutes. With 19 he was at about a B to B+ I think.

Seems like the Grizz were just on fire this game. But I would still like to know if there was the general activity on defense from the Kings. Was the effort there?

Now that I think about it, they could be possibly saving their energy for the b2b game aginst the Spurs tomorrow. Payback?

We play the Warriors tomorrow...

Guess we can still put a few up on the board! Wow, defense disappeared for the night. Except when we really needed it!

I have to give the Grizz credit for playing as hard as they did. Hope the guys will be ready tomorrow.

There is ZERO chance that the TDM award can go to anyone but Chucky Atkins...

Under the original rules Chucky cant get the TDM award because he never played for the Kings:p

Walton and Barry were slobbering all over Kevin during that game. At one point I almost said, "ENOUGH!";)

He's not looking bad out there, but he's not really igniting it either.

All I gotta say is that Corliss is not a guy who catches balls in the lane and puts up runners. He's a back to the basket player that uses his quickness and strength to his advantage on the block. Against DET, he got a lot of looks like that. I'd like to see him be the 2nd option on the block when in there. Isolation plays for him with shooters on the week side would help to remedy those sometimes stagnant stretches we go through offensively. Also, a little more of SAR on the block in crunch time would be nice!

The stagnant offense where they scored the most points of the year....and you're complaining about a guy who hit 5-9 from three?

I don't want him to stand outside and shoot threes all day either, but I don't think he will. Maybe that's what Memphis was forcing him to do today. 24 points on 14 shots. 6 assists and 1 turnover. Nailed the biggest shot of the game along with the free throws that clinched it. The expectations of what he can do have obviously been raised, but that's still a pretty damn good game.
