If that's their angle, they're going to fail. It's not impossible, because the rule says it's not impossible.
So if your at home, just instruct your clock operator to not start the clock. It's all good..........

This made me want to cry because it's true, but I literately laughed out loud... because it's true!I must have said it three times during the fourth quarter: we'd have had a better shot of winning if, when Cousins went to the bench, we had just deliberately held the ball on, like, five straight possessions, until we were charged with a shot clock violation. Even getting charged for five straight turnovers, we could have still managed to burn two full minutes of game time off the clock, and bought time for Cousins to come back in.
In fact, that should be Malone's new second-quarter strategy: let the starters get us up 20+ in the first quarter, and then tell Sessions/Stauskas/Evans et. al, "Okay, fellas, I need to get DeMarcus and Rudy about five good minutes of rest. So, what I want you to do is play defense, and run the shot clock out every possession on offense. Don't even bother trying to shoot, because they might get the rebound and score on a leak-out. Just hold the ball, and make them inbound on the violation, so we still have a chance to set our defense. All you have to do is stall, until I can put the real players back on the court."
But, that can't be the rule. Even if you (foolishly) believe that the officials are 'OMGZCURRUPT~!', you can't possibly believe that they believe that Courtney Lee tipped the ball in on that possession. If the rule said that you couldn't catch and shoot with 0.3, there would have been nothing to review in the first place.I thought .03 had to be a tip by rule
Instead of whining and complaining and moaning (I got that all out of my system on the Twitter. Much better place for me spew of ultimate pessimism) I'll leave it at this.
The Kings desperately need size off the bench. The tandem of Landry and Evans together is terrible. Bring in a big lug of a space occupier (Arron Gray type) to eat 10 minutes a game when DMC gets untimely fouls or needs a quick rest.
Sigh...

I know we've joked about snatching defeat from the jaws of victory before, but this one pretty much takes the cake.
This game was bad, but until they repeat this routine another 20 times or so in 6 weeks, including the last game of the year, they've got nothing on the 2014 Oakland A's.If I survived that mess, I'm pretty sure we can get through this too.

Wait, back up: are the two of you saying that some baseball team means more to you than the Kings?
http://hoopshabit.com/2014/09/12/nba-power-rankings-30-starting-power-forwards/
I do not consider Luc Ba A MOUTE a starting PF. So that places our very own JASON THOMPSON as THE WORST STARTING POWER FORWARD in the entire LEAGUE !!
So the question is what is PDA going to do about it? JT is a detriment to the team. Literally subtraction by addition. I think Coach Malone HAS to start Landry at the 4. Thompson gives us nothing and actually makes so many stupid numbskull plays that he is causing losses and he causes runs by the other team. We have NO backup Center and our starting PF is a DOOFUS. Hard to win with a cast like that...
....Well, at least in my opinion, a last-minute loss in an elimination game is worse than a regular season loss no matter the sport or situation.
Celtics want to get rid if Bass and want a big get the deal done already.

I multi-tasked. I've whined and complained here and on Twitter.![]()

Egad.No team has ever had 18 pt leads in the 1st quarter of back to back games and lost both. Congrats Kings.
Brick (and others): I really don't think you can say that the DeMarcus T cost of the game. First of all, we don't know the story behind it. I really doubt the referee T'ed him up for doing absolutely nothing. With that being said, you can't just assume that if there was no T then the outcome would have been the same but Memphis would have 1 less point. It just doesn't work like that. The T was an eternity, in basketball timing, before the end of the game. Teams likely would have played differently if the score was different.
That technical put him on the bench. That, much like what was referred to by Donaghy in his despicable tome, was how officials could control the likely outcome of games without being obvious. To me, the notion that we're even reminded of Donaghy because of things like this is a black eye on the league. Adam Silver needs to get on this, especially since there have already been several games where the screams of the fans because of horrific officiating rose to deafening heights.
