because it would ruin the confidence of someone clearly very important to the organisation and is not likely to benefit the team long-term.

Well, I'm not so sure that McLemore just assumes that that spot should be his, especially not after how he's performed. And if he doesn't pick it up, its hurting the whole confidence of the team to have this nightly cavern at SG. Mac should have a lengthy career ahead of him. But we are trying to establish something right now with Big Cuz, Malone and the new regime. if Ben's ready to contribute to that, great. If he's not, we need to get the big guy some real help from that spot rather than leave him out there all alone as King Kong with the bi-planes circling. I just have no idea where that help comes from on this roster right now.

The Kings dug a hole, and then beat the Clippers the next three quarters. Cousins was fatigued at the end and ran out of gas. Great game in so many ways. This game gives me hope. Better team defense, better rebounding, better intensity, some fierce play. JLM is a difference maker. Go Kings.

Ok so who's JLM?

Jean Luc Mbah a Moute I presume. :p

Just watched the game on the DVR. On the play where CP3 drove and Mbah fouled out Griffin fouled Kings players twice. He was holding MBah which is why CP3 was so wide open and then he pushed Cousins into CP3.

The refs were terrible. Apparently, Cousins is going to wait until next year to get a call. And there were tons of other bad calls as well, including the above.

Just can't get over Outlaw's improvement with the team. He was quite possibly one of the worst players I ever saw during his initial stint, now looks fully serviceable. Wonder what was the change

This is Clippers basketball, man. Nothing surprises me.

That being said, we deserved to lose based on how poor we played in the first quarter. Like Cousins said post game, they can't keep digging themselves into a hole, and then out of said hole. It's not a sustainable model.

And I don't know what we are doing with GV. Are we starting him or what? He only played 15 minutes last night. I don't get it. If Thomas is going to play more minutes, play crunch time minutes, then MAYBE playing him at the start of games before we go down big is the answer. I actually think that is what Cousins was suggesting in his post game comments, but that is just speculation.

Yeah, we're starting GV. And then we're yanking GV after a short stint of playing bad D. GV can play against slower guys, not the quicker guys. Unfortunately, Thomas just isn't built for playing a regular 38 minutes a game; otherwise I'd be happy to have him start and finish. I'm not sure there is an answer to this dilemma, unless the rook can come back from the D league and gets some minute or Jimmer can play a step higher in D than Vasquez, or maybe get a guy in trade this year.

Wasn't he recovering from a physical problem when we first picked him up? At least that has been has been at the back of my mind as this year's performance has come along.

He was far from recovering. More dying form lack-of-talent-itis. Its not like we picked him up because he was so valuable. We picked him up because he was an utter failure in New Jersey. Then the last few years with us he has just been pathetic. if I understand correctly you are now Pshn85 :p and could have given us more energy. And I think that is the biggest thing here. Energy. Outlaw is playing with passion for the first time in 5 years at least. It finally looks like he wants to play again.

Outlaw was an offensive force for many years in Portland. He has a lot of physical skills and it is good to see his new found confidence. Malone is really good about helping players with confidence problems. Outlaw moves in some unusual ways, but you don't see much change in his body language during a game. He has a big motor and likes to compete. Look for continued improvement from him this season. I liked the story told by Napear last night. Isaiah told him during a timeout "You are a good shooter. When you have an open shot, take it." That kind of stuff really helps some guys.
