I give the Kings an A for this win.
A for Miller, Hawes, Thompson, and Udrih
Miller had shown once again his true value to this team. He is still the BEST BIG we can count on at #5 raking in a double-double in reb and points, and an almost double digit stat in assist. He just makes the team not needing the likes of Nash, Paul, and Williams ( who garners at least 10 assists per game ) to win games. With Miller around, we can settle for a mediocre type of player ( like Udrih ) at #1.
Hawes has been one of the most consistent players in this game. His effort on defense and rebounding, whether playing center or power forward is tops.
Thompson continues to be incredible having double-double again as a rookie. The kid is a workhorse! The other rookies better play better because Thompson might soon give them a run for their money comes giving award for the rookie of the year.
Udrih has a fantastic game. If he can play consistently like this together with Miller, Hawes, Thompson, and Martin the Kings can be a playoff team as early as next season.
C for Greene, Brown, Jackson and Williams
There is really nothing exceptional to talk about Greene. He got a C for making his shots and for having done pretty well on not being a liability playing limited minutes as rookie.
The same can be said with Brown, Jackson, and Williams who played limited minutes.
F for Salmons and Moore
I think the Kings has to trade these two players while they still have value. They are playing starters, but actually not playing as "starters" in this team. Moreover, they are making it harder for the future starter players development because they compete for playing time. I just think it is hopeless to think these two are who we need in building an elite team. Just check their stats in this game.
