Nah, what? Are you changing the goalposts now? If Gay is one of many on the bus, that doesn't concern you? Where do you draw the line? Who falls under "etc"?

i clearly drew the line at "two cornerstone pieces," but if you really feel the need to obfuscate with useless pedantry, then i'll spell it out for you: outside of demarcus cousins and rudy gay, i don't give a s*** who gets on the bus outta town. if i were the kings' general manager, i'd do whatever i could to instigate a mass exodus of isaiah thomas, jimmer fredette, marcus thornton, carl landry, derrick williams, and travis outlaw. all of them. i'm not bothered in the slightest if a single one of those players is offended by demarcus cousins' fiery competitive streak, even when it verges on the inappropriate. there's your goal posts...

ben mclemore may yet develop into a useful talent, so i hold onto him unless i can't execute a particular trade without including him in the deal. and you could do worse at the end of your bench than quincy acy and aaron gray, so i don't mind holding onto them as hustle players and towel wavers. but this roster is going nowhere as currently constructed. nowhere. they have the fourth worst record in the entire nba, and the worst record in the western conference. demarcus cousins has made tremendous strides this season in becoming the superstar many of us always believed he could be. rudy gay has been in sacramento for all of two months, but he's already developed a very workable chemistry with DMC, and he's largely been excellent as an individual talent. i have no reason to believe that there's a rift between them, so i have no idea what it is that you're going on about...

If Rudy Gay is on the bus, then, no problem?

If ANYBODY is on the bus, I start it up and drive it myself. That's just the way it works. Once you have that franchise cornerstone anything and everything can be switched around him. He however is the constant.

Now of course unless I missed something all of this is just the rampant speculation of people who thrive on this stuff, so its likely mostly moot. but our great threat is not that we tire of DeMarcus Cousins, its that he tires of us. And he might. This, right here, is the most pathetic franchise in the NBA over the past 8 years. It enver wins, ever. It always falls short. one overmatched coach after another, constantly unbalanced rosters. DeMarcus Cousins has about 29 other suitors right now. Its we who have to be very careful here. If there is a problem vexing him, we would be well advised to excise it.

Do people actually want to get rid of Demarcus? The guy has been a beast this year and he’s just had several bad games and because of that people want him gone? Sure he’s let his emotions get the better of him in these past few games but to get rid of him? I’m shocked.

I actually feel that these guys just need a break. I do believe the All-Star snub (Demarcus) & the injury/flu (Rudy) has decreased both & the whole team’s level of play. They need to reload and recharge - the All-Star break can’t come soon enough.

On a side note: I do believe that we’ll be getting the number 1 pick in this upcoming draft.

You are the one that brought up the hypothetical. I guess you don't know what you're going on about.

"No" to the trade. I can't believe anyone who says that is thinking dispassionately. I'm also surprised he would go into a funk over the AS snub. BTW, is Dirk playing? I thought he sprained his ankle.

no response beyond a snide dismissal? typical Kingster. for the record, i did not bring it up, sir. i responded to the following post, which asserted that cousins' teammates don't like him without providing a shred of evidence:

You can't have a real team when your star player is a baby and everybody is afraid of him including his own teammates. If they aren't afraid, then they just don't like him. I have no doubt that IT and many others besides Gay dislike Cousins.

you proceeded to chime in after that, without addressing a single one of the very valid points i made in my response to SacKings2002NBAChampions. sometimes i wonder about you. if it looks like a troll, and if it smells like a troll...

Maybe you are not a troll, maybe you just lack reading comprehension.

"if i were the kings' general manager, i'd do whatever i could to instigate a mass exodus of isaiah thomas, jimmer fredette, marcus thornton, carl landry, derrick williams, and travis outlaw. all of them." means all of those listed, and Guy is not there.

I do not think Kingster is a troll. I do firmly believe, however, that he truly enjoys stirring the pot.

Wow, Kingster and SacKings2002NBAChampions at the same time? Brave man.
