Dont forget rebounds and blocks...

Team Defense:
1) a player is not always cover the same player all game long. (yesterday was no exception)
2) When a man gets beats off the dribble, he should have bigs to help. (last was no exception)
3) Sometimes a lack of defensive rotations will benefit shooters (last was no exception)



But that is not my point: 7 games in 9 nights (he and brad have carried this team)...he scores 35 (after scoring 40) and you find a way to bash him...absurd.

funny how You use word "bash" any time You disagree. He does not play D and that is a fact. My point is that BB is 2 way game and he only plays one way. You can put it anyway You want - still the same. He can not get a stop if his life would depend on it.

I don't use the word bash everytime I disagree. I attribute it to unfair criticism, which you do alot of; so I guess you see that word often.
Sure, he is weak on defense (that does not mean he doesn't play D), but last night his effectiveness on the offensive side of the ball superceded his weaker defense so much so that he deserved a good grade.
Go ahead see it as the glass-half empty as you are so known for doing, I choose to see a 35 point performance as it is, pretty darn good.

we lost a game because of the lack of defense where he was te "man"

I'd knock Webber grade down a bit for him being on the other side of the court while Portland was getting transition layups. Very frustrating.

His knee was probably bad, I wouldnt expect him to be on the other end of fast breaks when his knees bugging him.

webb goes for a triple, one os 19 (I believe) in 658 career games. One of 16 in the league this year (he also had another BTW) and get's a B plussie. Dang, that is some harsh criteria. A marginal player has a good game = A Nice outing, eatblished player, well you could have done more, too sluggish = b+ ????


Well the real point isn't the player score, tis the game result. This 82 game pre-season run to the playoffs is fun. Feb schedule is a challenge. Time to nut up. March/April, rest and get ready. four or five we still get Dallas - a team eminently beatable. Round 2, SA, PHX, SEA, some team goes down. The door opens. Whether the Kings walk thru, burst thru, sneak in - who cares? Give '
em a D-, playing for the championship is all the GPA we need for vindication.
