good trade for both teams

Somebody already posted kings' defensive improvement with Artest....also it seems that pacers significantly improved their offense with peja:
offensively they are ranked as 23rd but in last 5 games they are ranked as 12th with average 98.80 ppg, improving % for 3 from 36% to 44%.......peja averaging 18.8ppg and 7 rpg.....but the biggest paradox is that pacers are number one rebounding team in nba in the last 5 five games averaging 51 rpg….their defense is better: allowing opponents only 84.00ppg.......also they are are 4:1 in last five

I don't get it. Anybody watched any/many Pacers games?

I've seen most of their games so far this season, and all of them since Peja's been there.

Jeff Foster/Peja/Fred Jones/S-Jack/Pollard (has been starting since JO/Croshere are out)/Granger/David Harrison have all contributed to the rebounding. All being good-very good rebounders, and Peja, since January at least, he has been getting a bunch of rebs (not saying he's a good rebounder, because he basically isn't).

they played at home so as the Kings - untill they go on the road and win - I will reserve the judgement.

As for Pedja - he is finally healthy and he is needed/welcomed there. Doesn't have to deal with the past either. He looks very motivated too.

Funny thing is that pacers fans are complaining about coaching and they'd like to see more up-running game.....personally, I think in the long run pacers will be better off of this trade....

I think both teams will benefit well in the long-run, don't forget O'Neal will be coming back. So far it has both clubs.

The Pacers have to be better off. Essentially, Artest wasn't doing anything for the Pacers, maybe having an adverse effect, if anything. Any decent deal would have improved the Pacers.

I haven't watched any Pacers game yet, but however well they are doing right now, they are not going anywhere without healthy Jermaine. It will also be fun to watch Pedja play with a legit low post threat for the first time since Vlade left the Kings.

Stats are misleading. You can't just go and say, "They're a better rebounding team with the addition of Peja." JO being out has a lot to do with their rebounding because Foster and Pollard are playing more significant minutes. Don't forget the fact that Pollard has had something like 50 rebounds in the last 4 games.
