Good Luck, Peja!

how did pacer fans react to peja during the intros ?

anything close to artest's arco welcome ?

I believe the thread is titled "Good Luck, Peja" not "throw more daggers at him!" I hope Peja scores 30 a game for the Pacers...especially against the Lakers, but not against the Kings.

Great Game, Peja!!

Who is throwing daggers?

Bad news for Pacers is though, S-Jack took a hard hit, and couldn't walk off on his own, then near the tunnel they had to get him on a stretcher.

Hope he's alright, he good, and can't believe another potential injury for them

We're just pointing out that Peja would still be a King if he did this nightly for us. Most Kings fans (including myself) still like Peja, I just didn't like his effort the past 2 seasons as a King.

Go Peja!

Its true of almost all people that a change of scenery can make a difference. WTG Pedja and I hope you do great with the Pacers!:D

^ kind of a group effort, Jack, Jones, Peja, Granger all chipped in on him, the big guys came up to double...

You see that is the surprising part - about Pedja helping out on defense other then defending his own man (I guess he's man was Odom). If that continues to be a trend, there is going to be some ugly finger pointing around here, because he absolutely never showed any propensity for helping out on defense, rotating etc. Maybe once in a while he would defend screen well but that's it.

BTW, who stopped Bryant tonight, 8-24 from the field....

Jackson defended Kobe for much of the first half and then Freddie Jones took over in the second half. But more than anything it was a team effort. They doubled him when they could, and were always in great help position. Pacers lack a lot of things, but they are extremely well coached defensively.

Excuse me, help defence?...who is good kings help defender?...our guys can't stay in front of opponent more than 2 seconds.... nobody can help them.... maybe artest now...

The Kings just aren't well coached defensively. I don't think the Kings coaching staff makes defense the top priority. The Pacers do make it the top prioity. I'm not suggesting that two practices with the Pacers has turned Peja around, but maybe the overall approach the Pacers take defensively has helped Peja. I think that is part of it.

The other part that has probably helped Peja even more is just a change of scenery.

That would be the finger pointing I was refering to. ;) It's all good.

At kingsfans.com we go back and forth between whether our guys (pre-trade) are just bad defenders or our coaches are bad D coaches or any combination of the two. If Pedja is to become consistent help on defense with Pacers, as opposed to just a adequate man-on-man defender like he was with Kings, then I will be the first to raise an eyebrow.

Yep, that would be my point about "finger pointing". I agree that we were terrible defensive team and especially on team D.
