The Bee had an exit interview with Petrie in thi mornings paper. Good interview, good guy. I will miss him. Nineteen good years for he and I. He's thee most efficient word user in his kind of business. I hope they hang his Kings tunnel stool from the rafters. Good luck and thanks.

Good guy, that much you can say.. His disdain for Adelman's firing you can hear in his voice.. I wouldn't mind hearing the entire interview uninterrupted

Petrie is a very good man with a lot of class. Unfortunately, times are changing, and with the changing times, the culture and makeup of this franchise has to change. Letting him go is the right move, IMO. Geoff, you did some great things for this Kings franchise, and us Kings fans thank you from the absolute bottom of our hearts. Best wishes in the future.

Petrie is a good man, well above the feelings here about the Maloofs.

Petrie, I'll miss even after D'Aalessanddro does a good job.

Petrie is a class act. I suspect he will be back in the NBA before too long.

Thanks for all the enjoyable Kings memories Geoff! I hope your tomatoes turn out well:)

I know that most of us would like Petrie to come out and make nasty about the Maloofs. But its not in his nature. He's never been a sour grapes kind of guy. He's a very reserved, classy guy that will go quietly into that good night. Who knows, maybe he'll write a book and reveal the inside scoop. Until then, I wish him and his family all the best. I think secretly, he bleeds purple!

He was never going to rip the Maloofs, it's not his style. I think his response and body language regarding Adelman question told what a lot of us suspected.

It's the biggest mistake this team made in the last 10 years.

Petrie was, is and will continue to be a class act. I will miss him. The last several years have been miserable, maybe more off the court than on. Nevertheless, I thank Petrie for those amazing years that few fans ever get to experience. That was a great team. Thanks for those memories, Mr. Petrie. I wish you and your family all the best. You will always have a Kings family.

I can see why he's hesitant to leave the area too if he is still living in Clarksburg.. I love the delta area, and that quaint, somewhat picturesque little town. I drive through sometimes

Enjoyed the article. It must have been agonizing for him to be forced to do his job with one hand tied behind his back these last few years. I greatly appreciate all he did for the team, and wish him the best.
