And you don't think boogie has the ear of Vlade and Vivek in playing the style he wants? Are u sure they are letting Karl coach the way he wants? I don't remember Shawn kemp shooting threes in fact he was in the paint pretty often.

No, I think all evidence is that Boogie has considerably little input. They fired his damn coach. It appeared they tried to hire the new one over his agents' objections. And this offensive coordinator is some college Karl crony with a predesigned system.
About the most that can be said about Boogie's input is that he sees himself as a skilled player, and it probably robs him of the strong sense of this is who I am/this is what I am not that a guy like Shaq would have had. The offense spots him up at the three point line, and he says, ok, I can make this work. Its the damn coaches responsibility not to ever create that situation.

By they you mean...Vivek? Cuz Vlade wasn't there. It's Clear petey was strongly in favor of canning Malone. Vivek listened to mullin and petey. So I don't really think the they u are talking about are here anymore.

Big assumption on your part. From the limited information that is available, Thibs and DMC get along pretty well and have a lot of mutual respect. This is based off their relationship from the Team USA days. Sure it's a small sample size that doesn't come with the pressured of the NBA environment but it's more of an indicator than the assumption that you are making.
What this team needs is clear direction and a style that suits this roster. Going back to basics on defence and beating the opponents offensive in a manner that suits this team. For this roster make up, its a smashmouth basketball. It's precisely the style that Thibs plays and this roster is tailor made for him.
As for Malone, he seems to be a doing a very find job in Denver setting up foundations for success. He certainly has gotten a lot more out of this team in his time here than Karl has. Malone looked at the roster and said there is no way I can play uptempo with Rudy and DMC as my best players. Karl has come in and preached pace to the roster that is tailor made for a half court offence.

This team is not a smash mouth defensive squad. There is exactly one smash mouth player, maybe 2 if that's what u consider Rudy. But I don't. Especially when other teams can pack the paint due to our lack of shooting. Oh and our squad are Terrible defenders.

Cuz can defend. WCS can defend. DC can defend. Malone had Ben defending. He had JT locking down the best PFs in the game! Coaching counts. Karl seems to have lost it.
We have guys that can defend on this roster. Even Rudy, if he decides to ever grow a pair.

I think in the right system, our defense could look good. We lack perimeter stoppers but have a lineup of bigs to protect the basket. Pushing pace and switching constantly is not the way to leverage the players we have.
Again, weird coaching and roster management.

Errr we have more defensive pieces now that we did with Malone and we were respectable defensively in the last few games with Malone.
Kosta, Cousins, WCS, Collison and even Rondo are all more than effective defenders in a good defensive schemes. Give this squad a decent defensive scheme and focus on defense and they will be in top half of the defensive teams in the NBA. This team has more rim protection now that it has arguably ever had in it's time in Sacramento.

Pace and switching doesn't sabotage defense its effort.
Fine. Systems don't matter. Strategy doesn't matter. Roles don't matter. We don't actually even need a coach.
We'll act like it's my daughter's U7 soccer team. Everyone just try their best and it will all be ok.

Talent matters. Basketball is a simple game. Some of you make it more complicated than it is. Most coaches in the NBA run some system but rarely is it super complicated because teams don't have a lot of practice time. Stars win games look at the cavs and thunder does it really matter who their coach is. They seem to win 50 games with rotating coaches.

While I do think, that you are mostly right, when it comes to pace and switching, there are some teams, where the system is the main key for success.
The Hawks, Jazz, Celtics, Trailblazers or Wizards come to mind.
Of course we could debate, if Wall, Lillard, Horford, Teague or Hayward are stars, but I rarely see these teams dump the ball into their key players and get out of the way. They are fairly competitive, because they act as a team and move the ball.
And btw. the Jazz are the only team playing with two mostly traditional big man and play at a slower pace. But two way players like Hayward and defensive big man like Gobert and Favors don't grow on trees.
But I literally don't care anymore, which style we play. Our biggest problem is not the pace we are playing at. Defense, smart decisions, ball movement, effort, free throws.....

Don't remember us being anywhere near the top of the NBA defensive rankings during Malones tenure unless we're counting a few games at the start of last season including a couple of huge huge leads being blown.

These things can take you out of good defensive positions. It can create a situation where you're chasing the play, versus forcing the other team into what you want them to do. Effort is definitely a part of it, but not the whole story.

Celtics currently rank 4th in team defensive rating, while ranking 5th in pace.
And they are doing this with Sully, arguably one of the slower players in the league, and solid bigs like Johnson, Lee or Olynyk - none of them is particularly quick or athletic .
I think it's safe to say, that we could do a much better job on defense with bigs like Willie, Kosta and Cuz, even if we keep playing at a high pace. Of course our perimeter defenders don't have the same quality like Bradley, Smart or Crowder, but we don't need to be elite on D. We just need to be decent to win games, because we are actually pretty talented offensively.
Now what's the difference between us and the Celtics? Coaching might have something to do with it (I would ship Karl to Boston in a heartbeat for Stevens), but I think it's mainly the mentality of the players.
We have all the tools to apply a good amount of defensive pressure on the perimeter, but we just lack the "this guy will not score on my watch"-mentality, that nearly every Celtic, even IT, brings to the floor.
So yes JdBraver is right - it's mainly effort!

On the other hand the other team has the same disadvantage. There is no reason we can't do it better. How many corner threes have I seen were our guards or trailing players don't get back once the shot goes up. That's BBIQ and effort.

The story goes sideways from here. Something happened behind the scenes before the media was allowed to walk into the Kings locker room. We won’t speculate as to what, but once again, the room had an awkward vibe.
No one was in the mood to speak. And before anyone could fully get dressed, Canadian rapper Drake entered the room as a guest of owner Vivek Ranadivé. There were a few handshakes and some laughs from a small group of players surrounding the singer, but the entire scene was a bad look.

Remember yesterday reports were that Butler was fully behind Karl? I bet in his 10+ years in the NBA, he has never seen anything as dysfunctional as the current organization. The fact that Vlade would even go and ask his players whether or not they should fire him, is the breaking point.
