I liked what Karl had to say. Now HE has a plan. He's obviously been thinking about this team, its weaknesses and strengths, the way he is going to coach them, not just for the rest of this year, but how he will coach them NEXT year. He can speak at the abstract philosophical level, or at the detail level. It's a far, far cry from previous coaches of the Kings. He sure knows how to communicate and he has the basketball knowledge to communicate. One statement spoke to Karl's steely interior - if a player is frustrated and as a result not playing hard or the right way, he's going to be sitting on the bench.
My questions for the coach:
Is Cousins going to still partake in the point guard position on this team? Does that fit with your notions of "efficiency"?
How will you use the speed of Collison and McLemore to the maximum advantage of the team?
Gay isn't your typical slasher/3 point shooter. What is going to be asked of him in the offense?
The remainder of this season should be lots of fun, like watching a huge boulder being dropped into a small pond. Can't wait for Friday.
