Cousins is as loyal as they come. There's no doubt in my mind that he wants to spend the rest of his career here in Sacramento. There are still many who don't believe that Cousins can be a centerpiece, franchise player whom you can build a contender around. I cannot wait until the day that we prove them wrong.

Karl wrapped up that interview stressing DEFENSE. he said "we have to get more dirty and toughness down on that end of the floor." That is what it is right there. Who remembers Popovich imploring his Spurs to give him some "Nasty"? If you want to win in the NBA you have to give it all on the Defensive end. Scrapping and fighting for every loose ball, not allowing layups and never just letting a player get wherever they want to go.

Don't you mean "the day HE proves them wrong?" We as fans don't factor in that part of the equation.

You're right, ultimately Demarcus Cousins is the only person who can decide that.

I tend to use the word "we" because as an organization, the Sacramento Kings are responsible for putting a team around him and allowing him to thrive. "We" as fans will support this team as we inch closer to becoming a contender in this league.

Thank you for the audio.
I personally didn't like the part concerning Demarcus's emotions. Why does every announcer, coach or journalist always refers to Cousins emotions as a weakness? He is very much under control and his emotional approach to the game causes him to really go out there every night to dominate the game...
I would agree, and I found that part pretty off-putting. It made me wonder, "Have you been paying attention to him the last year??" But it's easy misspeak when you're live on the air, so I decided not to overthink it any further.
