Garcia making headway in rookie rankings.

In the YTD Rankings and notes:

Last week: Unranked
Marvin Williams makes his Rookie Rankings debut, barely edging out Francisco Garcia for the right to bump Jose Calderon out of the Top 10 for the first time this season.

Francisco Garcia (SAC) had a Kirilenko-esque game on Thursday against the Bulls: Eight points, seven rebounds, six assists, five steals and three blocks in 30 minutes.

Then in the weekly top 5 rookies:

3. Francisco Garcia (SAC)
9.3 PPG, 4.8 RPG, 3.3 APG, 1.50 SPG, 1.25 BPG, .462 FG% in 4 games

not bad for the 23rd pick in the draft.

That is awesome! Looks like alot of other teams missed out! So sad for them.

:D LOL :D

I'm liking our draft in getting Martin and Garcia, way to go, these guys are doing great.

I know he missed the 5x5, but are there any records he set for a 4x5, or anything like that (fewest # games played or youngest to record, etc.)?

Oh, and WTG! Keep it up!

Indeed!! Oh, good lookin out, putting that quote from Woody on your profile...nice to see an ORIGINAL Sacramento King showing some love!:D

Do they even keep stats like 5 X 5 ???

I never heard of that being tracked....or anyone making note if it.

But 5 steals, 5 assists, 5 rebounds, 5 points and 5 blocks has to be a pretty rare occurence indeed.

Andrei Kirelenko has made the "5 X 5" mantra popular the last few seasons because he is one of the few guys that does this from time to time. Other than that, I don't remember this being used too often.

It happened only 4 times, two last belong to Andrei.

I'm glad to see Cisco getting some notice. What I like about both our young guys, is that they both seem to have a great work ethic. They may not have been the most gifted in their respective drafts, but they do have talent. Hard work and dedication to improvement can carry them both far.

He's pretty much become Artest's apprentice. I'll bet some of it has to do with the fact that they both grew up in NY.

nope 6 times, Andrei did it again earlier this year

and he did it 2 times 2 seasons ago, and Vlade did it a long time ago, as did Marcus Camby and Jamaal Tinsley

Wow, look at all the times Olajuwon did it:eek:

Well, you may have noticed he was a pretty decent player.

BTW, his first 5x5 on that list came in a game in which he put up these numbers:

38pts 17rebs 6ast 7st 12blk

That has to be right up there with the most impressive single game stat lines in the modern era of basketball.

That is insane... 12 blocks? I don't think we've seen a player get a tripple double with points/boards/blocks in a while. I mean obviously Hakeem is a top 10 all time but still... amazing.

While it was in college, Shelden Williams did vs. Maryland in January.
