Time for the third pre-season game. This time the action is taking place in Reggie Nation - Las Cruces, New Mexico (home of New Mexico State).

GO KINGS!!!

Contrary to most denizens of this board I kind of like Mavs, but this is not the time for such matters.

I kind of do too, and despite all of the NMSU fans who will show up to cheer for Reggie, I expect a Dallas contingent to show up. NMSU students only have to drive an hour to get to El Paso (on their way to Ciudad Juarez and bars which will serve cheap drinks to 18 year olds), but Albuquerque is 6 or 7 hours away. So don't be surprised if we hear a fair number of Texans in the crowd tonight.

Moore looks better already, seems to be in the flow of the offense more and has been playing pretty good D on nowitzki. But its early

brad still has cornrows :p

The very slimmed down Brad is looking very 'Juwanna Mann' to me :D, by rocking the cornrows+headband look... '

1st Quarter impressions:

Douby really playing well in trying to get that backup pointguard position
Garcia is still forcing things
Miller attempting to tip too many rebounds
Salmons had some great mid range shots, hopefully he can keep that up
Moore flowing with the offense better

There are a LOT of Kings jerseys in the crowd. I haven't seen many Mavs jerseys. I think the crowd is actually just happy to be seeing NBA basketball...

I believe Pan American Arena hold about 14,000 with around 8,000 said to be at tonights game. It seems like to me about 2,000 are making lots of noise for the Kings, about 2,000 yelling loud for the Mavs and the rest just happy to be at their first ever NBA game in Las Cruces.

My impressions so far:
* The Kings defense looks really good tonight. They are harassing Dallas, and this is fun to watch on both ends of the floor.
* Douby looks good again tonight.
* Cisco is still forcing things that aren't there.
* Miller is still Miller -- not taking the shots he should, getting frustrated at non-calls, etc...
* Martin is somehow able to make shots that should not be humanly possible.
* Thomas isn't annoying me tonight like usual. Mainly because I haven't seen him do much on the offensive end. He has been active on the defensive end.
* Moore looks a little better tonight. Not sure what his stats are, but he at least seems a little more in-flow.
* Bibby's shot looks smooth AND he's playing defense.

There are 2 ways that I especially like to see a quarter end. First...Kings with bomb that falls as time expires. Second...a Kings player blocks an opponents shot. WTG - Mikki Moore! :D

It appears that Quincy will have the breakout season over Garcia. Garcia's inconsistency and out of control play are becoming tiresome.

hey guys, the last time the Kings got in a fight in the preseason we went to the WCF

this could be a good omen :p

last time - we got in a fight in the preseason - we went to the WCSF where our best player went down with "career" injury and we went down with him too. Still a good omen ?
